On August 26, the reporter learned from China Railway Shanghai Bureau Group Co., Ltd. that at around 12:00 on August 24, the casting of the last 3.5-meter-diameter bored pile of the No. 6 main pier of the Taoyaomen highway-railway dual-use bridge on the Ningbo-Zhoushan Railway was completed, marking the completion of the main pier pile foundation project and the official entry into the water operation stage, laying a solid foundation for the next step of the main pier foundation construction.
As one of the key projects of the Ningbo-Zhoushan Railway, the Taoyaomen Highway-Railway Bridge is about 1,531 meters long, of which the highway-railway section is 1,066 meters long, connecting Cezi Island and Fuchi Island. The main bridge adopts a 666-meter main span hybrid box girder cable-stayed bridge, which is the world's first three-box separated hybrid girder cable-stayed bridge; the highway and railway are arranged on the same level, the railway is a double-track design, arranged in the middle, with a design speed of 250 kilometers per hour, and the highway is a two-way 6-lane expressway, arranged on both sides, with a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour, which is currently the world's largest span highway-railway hybrid girder cable-stayed bridge; the middle span main beam adopts a separated steel box girder, and the side span main beam adopts a concrete box girder, with a beam width of 66 meters, which is currently the world's largest width separated concrete box girder.
Taoyaomen Railway Bridge has two main piers, No. 5 and No. 6. Pier No. 6 is located on the steep slope area facing the sea on the side of Fuchi Island. The ground elevation difference in the foundation range is large. The sea erosion cliffs are mainly distributed in the northeast and east-west directions. The bedrock is severely affected by sea erosion. The rock mass in the local joint zone of the bedrock is relatively broken, and the weakly weathered rock surface is undulating and the layer thickness is uneven. In order to adapt to the terrain changes and reduce the amount of mountain excavation, the foundation of the No. 6 main pier adopts a stepped expansion foundation composed of 5 bored piles with a diameter of 3.5 meters. A trestle is set on the sea side. The foundation construction adopts a land construction plan of slope excavation + local island construction.
To ensure the smooth implementation of pile foundation construction, the construction management unit Shanghai-Hangzhou Passenger Dedicated Line Company, together with the project department of China Railway Construction Major Bridge Engineering Bureau, optimized the construction organization plan according to the pile diameter and geological conditions. The pile foundation construction implemented all-round standardized management from drilling, hole forming, hole cleaning, lowering of steel cage to pouring to ensure smooth connection of various processes and excellent results in one go.
The 76.4-kilometer-long Ningbo-Zhoushan Railway starts from Ningbo East Station in the west, passes through Ningbo's Yinzhou District and Beilun District, and passes through the newly built Jintang undersea tunnel to Jintang Island in Zhoushan City and the newly built cross-sea bridge to Cezi Island and Zhoushan Island, and finally to Baiquan Town in Dinghai District. It has 7 stations, namely Ningbo East, Yunlong, Qiuai, Beilun West, Jintang, Ma'ao and Zhoushan. It has a designed speed of 250 kilometers per hour. It is a high-speed railway that mainly serves medium and long-distance tourist passengers and takes into account intercity passenger flows between Zhoushan and Ningbo. It is also a means of constructing Zhejiang Province's "1-hour traffic circle" and forming a convenient passenger transport channel between the mainland and Zhoushan Island.
After the project is completed, the history of Zhoushan Archipelago without railways will end. Zhoushan, the only prefecture-level city in the Yangtze River Delta without high-speed railways, will join the national railway network. It is of great significance to improve the layout of the railway network, build a "Yangtze River Delta on rails", promote the development of tourism along the line, accelerate the deep integration of Zhoushan and Ningbo into the "Belt and Road", and assist the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta and the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
