IT Home reported on July 23 that EHang Intelligent announced yesterday evening that the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has recently officially accepted the civil unmanned aircraft operating certificate (Air Operator Certificate, hereinafter referred to as "AOC" or "OC") applications submitted by its wholly-owned subsidiary Guangdong EHang General Aviation Co., Ltd. (EHang General Aviation), which specializes in UAM operation services, and its joint venture operating company in Hefei Hefei Heyi Aviation Co., Ltd. (Heyi Aviation).Conducted unmanned aircraft operation license and operation qualification review for the two companies, and reached consensus with the applicants on the review process, review subjects, review framework, etc.The Civil Aviation Administration of China has also recently formed a professional review team to officially carry out subsequent related review work.

EHang Intelligent said that as the world's first unmanned manned electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft ("eVTOL") OC certification project,This means that the world's first manned eVTOL operation standard system is about to be bornand will lay the foundation for the commercial operation of EHang Intelligent EH216-S.

In addition to EHang General Aviation and Heyi Aviation,EHang's partners in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Taiyuan, Wuxi and other cities are also preparing, promote OC certification application, and accelerate the construction of EH216-S as a local low-altitude economic commercial operation demonstration model.

Like the previous type certificate airworthiness certification, the OC certification of the EH216-S unmanned manned aircraft cannot be directly certified using the existing civil aviation standards. It is necessary to innovate and improve on the basis of existing regulations to build a new and applicable standard system

IT Home noticed that in March this year, the Civil Aviation Administration of China publicly solicited opinions on the consultation notice on "Application and Issuance of Operating Licenses under Part 92 of the Civil Aviation Regulations of China", aiming to promote the orderly implementation of the "Civil Unmanned Aircraft Operation Safety Management Rules" (CCAR-92) on operating licenses, clarify the license application process and requirements, standardize the scope and key points of the implementation of operational safety assessments, and refine operational management requirements.

In May this year, the group standard "Technical Requirements for Electric Vertical Take-off and Landing Aircraft (eVTOL) Landing Fields" was released, which was drafted and initiated by Ehang Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. The standard clearly explains many technical parameters of electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft landing fields, such as physical characteristics, obstacle restrictions, site selection, structural design, and special facilities and equipment. It is China's first technical specification for electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft landing fields.

Recently, Song Zhiyong, Director of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, said that my country's low-altitude economy is entering a new stage of rapid growth. As the industry management department, the Civil Aviation AdministrationWe must speed up the construction of unmanned pilot test areas, airworthiness certification capacity building, operator certification, airport facility planning and construction, and low-altitude flight service support system construction.
