It is reported that TikTok Shop has recruited a team of about 40 people in Spain. The company's recruitment website stated that it is also recruiting Spanish-speaking employees in Madrid and London to be responsible for logistics, compliance and strategy of TikTok Shop.

A TikTok spokesperson did not comment on plans for TikTok Shop in Europe, but said the "company will continue to experiment with new commerce opportunities to support businesses of all sizes and enable our community to discover and engage with the products they love."
