"teacher! thank you for coming to my home to help me study. in the future, i will learn from helen keller and become stronger and more confident..." a few days ago, when the teachers of zaozhuang special education school in shandong province finished the "home teaching", the student xiaomei said excitedly.

this is just a microcosm of the school's "home teaching" activities. the service objects of special education are not limited to students in school, but also those children with severe disabilities who cannot go to school. they are all individuals who "cannot be left behind" on the road of special education.

"if you can't come, we will go!" since september 2015, zaozhuang special education school has established a "home teaching" team consisting of 11 teachers, who are specifically responsible for providing knowledge transfer, physical rehabilitation and other services to special students who cannot attend school.

in order to ensure that special students can receive appropriate education and rehabilitation training at home, the school has continuously improved its organizational construction, compiled and printed the "home teaching work manual", further standardized the work process from the institutional level, and included the teaching work into the teacher's class hour assessment system. a practical "home teaching" plan was formulated, and an education and rehabilitation plan was formulated according to the psychological and physiological characteristics of disabled students. a dynamic management file of "one case for one life" was established, and measures such as teaching according to students' needs and combining centralized or individualized education were adopted to help disabled children receive the education they deserve.

there is a child named song liang (pseudonym). he suffers from moderate cerebral palsy, has difficulty moving his left hand and left foot, has a strong sense of inferiority, never leaves home, and hardly ever interacts with outsiders.

what should we do? facing song liang, teacher ding ping decided to start with the communication of the heart. ding ping gradually established trust and affection with him through humorous language. slowly, song liang felt ding ping's attention and love for him, and his enthusiasm for life and study became higher and higher.

at the same time, they regularly connect with the disabled persons' federation, improve dynamic data, sign service agreements with parents, follow the principle of voluntariness, and establish education and rehabilitation files for each student. in view of the actual situation of special students, they have launched a "five-send" menu model of delivering knowledge, rehabilitation, warmth, service, and safety to fully stimulate the potential of students.

in the process of "teaching at home", the teachers mainly adopt a combination of concentrating on one point and forming a surface with multiple points, ensuring that each student is taught at least 4 times a month and each time for no less than 3 hours. at the same time, they not only select content suitable for their learning from the textbooks according to the students' living environment and cognitive level, but also provide systematic education and rehabilitation training, and provide guidance to parents.

as time goes by, the school has provided education to more than 20,000 students, produced 3,600 personalized lesson plans, provided 26,000 teaching sessions, and trained 530 parents. it is worth mentioning that, with the help of the teaching team, three of the students have returned to school and started their study journey.

"in fact, the work of teaching teachers is very tiring. they often have to overcome a series of difficulties such as heavy teaching tasks, tight working hours, and long distances." zheng jiangang, the school's principal, said that although it is hard work, the effect is very great. teachers use love to help many disabled students learn to take care of themselves, build self-confidence, and lay the foundation for them to better integrate into society in the future.

many teachers told reporters that seeing the children's cognitive level improve day by day and the families' hope for life rekindled, it was worth it for them to pay more, because the trust of the students and parents who received the aid would not allow them to stop.
