August 15, "Geely AutomobileThe second season of the China Star x China Automotive Research Institute Product Safety Test has officially started. Among them, Geely's "China Star" modelXingruiXingyue LThey have successfully challenged the "China's first 30% offset collision engine sinking technology public test" and "China's first fully loaded 30-ton truck rollover top pressure public test". In addition, some information about the new Xingyue L has also been exposed, and it is expected to be launched in late September or October.

Geely's "China Star" is a model of the Geely brand's CMA series, which currently includes three models: Xingyue L, Xingrui, and Xingyue S, which correspond to the flagship SUV, flagship family sedan, and high-performance SUV respectively. Previously, Xingrui under China Star has successfully challenged "high-altitude wire swing" and "extreme five-car collision", and Xingyue L has also successfully challenged many safety tests such as "tens of thousands of pounds of force" and "devil swing collision". Therefore, the high safety attributes of Xingrui and Xingyue L are also deeply rooted in the hearts of the people.

This time, Geely Auto once again teamed up with China Automotive Research Institute to launch the second season of the safety trial of the "China Star" model. It also created the "China's first 30% offset collision engine sinking technology public test" and "China's first fully loaded 30-ton truck rollover top pressure public test", and used Xingrui and Xingyue L respectively to complete the tests with more stringent working conditions and higher difficulty.

In the "China's First 30% Offset Collision Engine Sinking Technology Public Test" conducted by Geely Xingrui, a 65km/h, 30% offset collision was adopted, which is more difficult than the national standard (56km/h, 40% offset collision). It has a faster speed and a smaller overlap. The collision energy is 1.35 times that of the national standard, and has extremely high requirements for the stability of the body structure and the strength of the passenger compartment.

After completing the test, the China Automotive Research Institute conducted an on-site inspection and evaluation and found that the Geely Xingrui's hazard lights automatically lit up, the A-pillar and B-pillar were not deformed, the passenger compartment structure was intact, and the four doors could be opened normally; the front airbags, front seat side airbags and side air curtains in the car deployed normally, the main structure of the seats was intact, the occupant survival space was intact, the dummy in the car was in good condition, and the SOS rescue function was activated normally; the fuel tank was not damaged and did not leak oil, the battery was safe and there was no leakage, and the entire vehicle had no risk of combustion; the high-voltage system powered off normally, and the entire vehicle had no leakage or abnormal high-voltage short circuit risk.

In the "China's first public test of a fully loaded 30-ton truck rollover" conducted by Geely Xingyue L, the Xingyue L also performed well. At the test site, as the tilt angle of the rollover device became larger and larger, the three wheels of the truck were suspended in the air, and the entire front part of the truck was suspended in the air and pressed on the Xingyue L. The top of the Xingyue L almost bore the impact of a 30-ton weight.

After the test, the on-site inspection and evaluation by China Automotive Research Institute showed that all four doors of Xingyue L can be opened, the living space on the driver's side is in good condition, and the vehicle can be started and driven normally. Xingyue L successfully withstood the pressure of a 30-ton truck with its submarine-like cage structure body design, which is made up of 79% high-strength steel and 22% hot-formed steel with a tensile strength of over 1500MPa, fully demonstrating the safety of the cage body structure design.

Combined with the previous declaration information, the 2025 Geely Xingyue L will be officially launched in late September or October. As a facelift model, the new car continues the overall shape of the current model, focusing on adjustments and upgrades in the details of the exterior and interior. Specifically, the front face of the new model is replaced with a new vertical waterfall grille, and the central LOGO is also replaced with silver, which is consistent with the 2025 model.DihaoThe changes are the same as for other models. In addition, the new car also adds a green paint color.

In terms of interior, the 2025 Xingyue L still uses the 12.3-inch LCD instrument + 12.3-inch central control screen design, and is expected to be replaced with the latest Flyme Auto smart car system. At the same time, the armrest on the right side of the island under the center console has been cancelled, and the shift lever has been changed from the current aircraft gear lever to a crystal electronic lever. The design style is similar to theBoyue LThe height is similar, and the size of the storage area behind the gear lever has also been adjusted.

In terms of power, the 2025 Xingyue L is expected to continue to use the power system of the current model, still equipped with high and low power versions of the 2.0T turbocharged engine, and matched with 7DCT dual-clutch and 8AT transmissions. The maximum power of the engine is 160kW and 175kW respectively, and the peak torque is 325N·m and 350N·m respectively. In addition, it is expected that the new car will also add intelligent driving assistance functions.
