2. the underlying core elements of the automotive supply chain are being reconstructed

with the development of electrification and intelligence, the core elements of the automotive supply chain have shifted from engines, gearboxes, and chassis systems to power batteries, electric drives, intelligent networking hardware and software, and other components; materials, batteries, chips, software, etc. are gradually becoming the core elements with the highest share of single-vehicle value and the greatest risk of chain breaks.

under the influence of anti-globalization thoughts, geopolitics and other factors, three typical relationships have been formed in the automotive supply chain between different regions of the world. there are supply chain decoupling relationships under extreme environments, coupled relationships of mutual restraint and mutual cooperation, and cooperative relationships based on new trade and investment rules.

on the one hand, core components and key technologies such as high-end chips and operating systems are still subject to overseas control. international situations and emergencies can easily lead to "breakpoints", "blocking points" and "stuck points" in key components. the local industrial chain needs to accelerate the control of core technologies and resources and enhance the resilience of the supply chain. on the other hand, with the rapid increase in automobile exports, driven by the dual-wheel drive of vehicle trade exports and overseas factory construction, chinese local parts companies should also accelerate globalization, expand overseas products, technologies, services, brands and manufacturing, and participate in the global competition of the automobile supply chain in all aspects.

five, green, low-carbon and sustainable development are urgently needed

the global situation of responding to climate change is unprecedentedly urgent, and countries have put forward specific regulations and requirements for the green development of the entire industry chain. from raw material procurement to parts production, to vehicle manufacturing and use, the entire automotive industry chain needs to actively practice the concept of green development.

how to adapt to the low-carbon development trend and participate in low-carbon competition has become a common issue faced by vehicle and supply chain companies. how to build a green and low-carbon development system covering the entire product life cycle and the entire supply chain with low carbon as the core will directly determine the core competitiveness of the company in the future.
