recently, a netizen posted a message saying: only four days after ledao was launched, someone put up a banner in the store. the banner read "ledao automobile, defrauding consumers, forcibly deducting deposits!" ledao l60 was launched on september 19, and officially opened for large orders and locked orders. the price starts at 206,900 yuan, and the official delivery starts on september 28.

regarding the forced withholding of deposits, phoenix.com's "eye of the storm" contacted relevant personnel from nio's communications department, but has not received a response yet.

a consumer of nanjing ledao automobile also broke the news to phoenix.com's "eye of the storm" that he could not get his deposit back after buying ledao l60. "the salesperson said that i could pick up the car in 6-8 weeks and i could get my deposit back, so i placed an order for ledao l60 on september 21. at that time, i also told the salesperson that i needed the car urgently, but later i was told that the car would be available at the end of the year. i did not accept this time and wanted to get my deposit back, but the salesperson said that i had locked the order and would not get it back. now no one is handling this matter." said the above consumer.

the consumer also tried to contact the relevant 4s store through the 12345 mediation staff. "they (the 4s store) said that it was a system bug that day and the order was automatically locked. they said they were going through the refund process, but no one has called to deal with it. they are now talking nonsense."

as nio's second brand, ledao products are priced between 200,000 and 300,000 yuan, making up for the lack of the mid- and low-end market of the nio brand. according to ledao's regulations, if consumers do not lock their orders, the deposit can be fully refunded within seven days. the first batch of users will have to wait until september 26 to automatically lock their orders.

in response to this matter, phoenix.com's "eye of the storm" called the official customer service of ledao l60, and the other party responded: "at present, ledao l60 involves a deposit of 2,000 yuan, which can be refunded at any time within 7 days without reason. however, some users may not be familiar with the process. after selecting 2,000 yuan, they directly confirm the configuration and click on the lock order to schedule production. after scheduling, the factory production line starts to build cars. there is a clear reminder: there is no way to refund after locking the order. consumers may not pay attention and directly click to lock the order, so there is a situation where the 2,000 yuan deposit cannot be refunded. because after any car company locks the order, there is no way to refund."

phoenix.com's "eye of the storm" found that xiaomi had previously triggered thousands of buyers to defend their rights over the issue of whether the 5,000 yuan "deposit" could be refunded. xiaomi's official response at the time was: once consumers decide to lock in their orders and select vehicle configurations, it means that the vehicle has entered the actual production stage. at this time, not only can the configuration not be changed, but according to established rules, the previously paid deposit is also non-refundable.

in response to consumers' questions about the delivery time of ledao l60, the above customer service explained: "the factory's production capacity is a process of continuous climbing, and no one can accurately tell when the car can be picked up. we will sort according to the time of the deposit and the deposit at that time. if the order is made late, the delivery date of the car may be postponed, which is also based on the principle of fairness. if you order a car now, it may be delivered at the end of the year because there are still many orders ahead.

regarding the cancellation of ledao subscriptions, a consumer revealed to phoenix.com's "eye of the storm": "now many car companies have newly launched brands, and they are all boosting traffic for each other, and many car owners will have their minds wavered. in our ledao group, more than a dozen people have withdrawn in the past two days. many consumers who withdraw their cars are in a hurry to exchange for other brands of cars."

competition among major automakers is becoming increasingly fierce, and they are also using various methods to attract consumers. according to relevant media reports, on september 23, li bin, chairman of nio, complained in a group chat that "it was originally agreed that the six major factions would attack maodou y (tesla model y) together, but ledao was stabbed five times by its competitors."

li bin also said in a recent interview, "there is definitely competition. there is good competition and there is a lot of competition. good competition is about competing in products and services, while bad competition is about stabbing someone in the back, spending a lot of money to hire a network of cybercriminals to insinuate and dismantle others."
