low-altitude economy flies high: flyable airspace expands again

low-altitude economy starts with infrastructure construction. in april this year, the "taicang civilian uav test flight operation base construction and service project" led by huashe group passed the expert group acceptance of the civil aviation administration of east china. the base is the first civil uav test flight operation base in suzhou and the second in the province. in addition, digital air transportation, low-altitude internet of things, plant protection testing, etc. are also the focus of huashe group.
"like a flight service station, it has to do ground navigation, ground surveillance, ground monitoring and other work. we have participated in the construction of a local base in suzhou." deng runfei said that in terms of low-altitude internet of things, the base's aerial vehicles have achieved 5g communication navigation below 300 meters, "which is actually very similar to the internet of vehicles." in jiangbei new district, drones are connected to the logistics distribution system of yangtze river shipping ships, solving the problem of the "last mile" of water delivery.
how can the low-altitude economy move from a hot concept and policy to a hot market? "unmanned manned aircraft between cities and within cities can theoretically fly from office building to office building, but if they want to operate normally, they need to approve take-off and landing points, and they also need to solve the problems of noise and endurance. some problems cannot be solved in a short time," deng runfei said, giving an example.
in deng runfei's view, how to gradually expand the airspace pilot will be the focus of huashe group. the first "nanjing low-altitude suitable airspace schematic diagram" and "nanjing low-altitude route demand diagram" compiled by huashe group mentioned that the suitable airspace area below 120 meters in nanjing is about 1,670 square kilometers, and 20 temporary airspaces have been approved, with a total area of ​​944.35 square kilometers; at the same time, the approved routes have increased to 102, with a total mileage of 1,236 kilometers.
it is worth noting that the "three-year action plan for the construction of low-altitude flight service guarantee system in nanjing (2024-2026)" prepared by huashe group was also officially released recently. the "blueprint" drawn up in the "action plan" also responds to this demand, proposing to strive to set up more than 1,500 square kilometers of airspace by 2026, and expand the flyable airspace from below 120 meters true altitude to below 600 meters.
