In April this year, 63-year-old Ms. Guo rushed to the "Century Home Expo" held in Changsha at the time and spent more than 20,000 yuan to buy furniture for her retirement home. However, at the end of July, when the house decoration was completed and the furniture was delivered to her home, Ms. Guo found that the sofa was moldy, and the bed and stool also had varying degrees of defects or bumps. Ms. Guo was very angry that she spent a lot of money but got such a defective product.

Ms. Guo said that this is her retirement home and she has not moved in yet because the problems with these furniture have not been resolved. When she turned over the wooden sofa, she found spots of mold all over the bottom and drawers.

In addition to this set of wooden sofas, there are also problems with the wooden beds in the two bedrooms. Ms. Guo told reporters that these furniture were purchased from a merchant called "Shengshi Huangchao" at the Changsha "Century Home Expo" held in April this year.

Ms. Guo: I see that only world-class brands can enter the Century Home Expo, so I am over 60 years old and don’t want to worry too much, so I spend a little more money to buy good furniture.

Ms. Guo ordered sofas, beds, dining tables and chairs for the whole house at a fixed price of 21,880 yuan. She thought she would feel assured after paying a high price, but she did not expect to end up with such a disappointment.

Ms. Guo: He said it was a factory direct sale and that our products were world-class. They were Shengshihuangchao brand. But when I took the products home, there was no trademark or word on them. I suspected that what I bought was not Shengshihuangchao products, but three-no products and fake products!

After discovering the various problems with the product, Ms. Guo tried to contact the "Shengshi Huangchao" merchant with whom she had signed the contract and asked for a return. However, until now, the two parties have not been able to reach an agreement.

Ms. Guo said that the "Century Home Expo" held at the end of April had already withdrawn, and the "Shengshi Huangchao" brand with which she signed a contract did not have a physical store in Changsha. Later, the reporter contacted a staff member of the brand through a phone number in the contract.

Afterwards, the reporter contacted an after-sales staff of the brand, who said that they could partially exchange the products purchased by Ms. Guo, but could not return them.

Ms. Guo found the merchant’s response unacceptable and she planned to file a complaint with the market supervision and management department to protect the rights and interests of consumers.
