General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that "building a strong country in education is a basic project to comprehensively promote the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation with Chinese-style modernization." The accelerated evolution of the new round of scientific and technological revolution has formed a historic intersection with my country's comprehensive construction of a modern socialist country, giving my country's top innovative talent training system an unprecedented strategic opportunity. The Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee made systematic arrangements for deepening the comprehensive reform of education and clearly proposed "strengthening the coordination of science and technology education and humanities education." We must learn and understand the relevant important statements of General Secretary Xi Jinping, fully implement the spirit and reform measures of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, deepen the comprehensive reform of education, strengthen the coordination of science and technology education and humanities education, promote the improvement of scientific and technological innovation thinking by improving students' humanities background, and build a high-quality independent training system for top innovative talents.
Improve the mechanism of establishing morality and cultivating people, and promote the reform and innovation of the integration of ideological and political courses in universities, middle schools and primary schools. The integration of science and technology education and humanities education is an inevitable choice and development trend of educational modernization. General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized that "educators should have the wisdom of educating people by enlightening their minds and hearts and teaching students in accordance with their aptitude." To strengthen the coordination between science and technology education and humanities education, we should first firmly grasp the political attributes, strategic attributes and livelihood attributes of education, incorporate humanities education into the ideological and political education system, use the party's innovative theories to cultivate souls and educate people, promote Xi Jinping's new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics into textbooks, classrooms and minds, help students better understand the world situation, national conditions and people's sentiments, and strengthen their ideals and beliefs. Secondly, strengthen the humanistic care in the process of ideological and political education, organically integrate humanistic elements such as empathy, compassion, imagination, sense of responsibility and sense of mission into the mechanism of establishing morality and cultivating people, follow the laws of students' physical and mental health and growth, meet students' personalized emotional needs, teach students in accordance with their aptitude, adjust the content and methods of education, and make students feel full of humanistic care. Third, we should carry out a wide range of general education that integrates science and technology education with humanities education, present scientific knowledge in the context of social life through scientific and technological means and the rule of law, and help students understand the historical, social, artistic, ethical and other humanistic values of scientific knowledge. We should promote patriotism education in the new era, implement and publicize the Patriotism Education Law, comprehensively carry out moral education, intellectual education, physical education, aesthetic education and labor education, and form an ideological and political education system suitable for different age characteristics and humanistic elements.
Deepen the reform of the discipline and professional system of higher education. General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized: "We should optimize the discipline setting and talent training model of higher education institutions in accordance with the new trend of scientific and technological development, and cultivate urgently needed talents for the development of new quality productivity and the promotion of high-quality development." Whether the discipline and professional setting reflects the synergy of scientific spirit and humanistic education is the basis for building a high-quality independent training system for outstanding innovative talents. Looking at the history of world science and technology, scientific masters and most Nobel Prize winners not only have high scientific literacy and a broad interdisciplinary knowledge structure, but also have profound humanistic literacy, which is also one of the basic characteristics of strategic scientists, top talents, and scholars with high academic contributions. The development of new quality productivity has put forward new requirements for the reform of the discipline and professional system of colleges and universities. On the one hand, based on key areas such as artificial intelligence, quantum mechanics, and life and health, we will cultivate the growth points of emerging interdisciplinary disciplines, break the limitations of traditional disciplines, and widely offer interdisciplinary courses such as philosophy of science, history of science and technology, sociology of science, and cognitive science, so as to realize the integration of humanities such as literature, history, philosophy, and art with science, engineering, agriculture, and medicine. With the help of scenes such as drama, interpretation, and debate, students can understand the essence of the scientific spirit in multiple dimensions and stimulate their interest and ability to think about the relationship and interaction between science and humanities. On the other hand, in order to adapt to the changes in the talent market demand for new quality productivity and combine the advantages of universities themselves, we should set up interdisciplinary majors required by emerging industries and future industries, reduce the proportion of compulsory professional courses, promote the elective method of modular courses, organize students to participate in innovative projects that integrate science and technology with humanities, and meet students' study needs based on personal interests and expertise.
Deepen the reform of education evaluation. Good humanistic qualities are not only conducive to inspiring the innovative inspiration of top talents, but also help to form the social value recognition of science and technology. In recent years, the frequent reports of student campus bullying, animal abuse, and destruction of public property that have impacted the bottom line of social morality have exposed the drawbacks of the prevalence of utilitarian education and the lack of humanities and rule of law education. Strengthening the coordination of science and technology education and humanities education requires the creation of a first-class teaching team. The role of the baton of education evaluation should be fully utilized, the reform of education evaluation standards should be deepened, and a team of innovative educators with both scientific spirit and humanities should be cultivated. This requires strengthening the construction of teachers' scientific spirit and humanities literacy, cultivating noble teacher ethics and style, promoting a negative list for teacher ethics assessment, and implementing a "one-vote veto" system; incorporating humanities education and rule of law education into the political learning and education training system of faculty and staff, and incorporating the ability to carry out humanities education into the teacher performance assessment and management indicator system. Cultivate the fertile soil of respecting teachers and the humanities foundation of students, help students to independently generate humanities literacy and innovative thinking, and strive to achieve the grand goal of educating people for the Party and cultivating talents for the country.
