the new pinggu local railway project is a key part of the spatial layout of the jingping comprehensive logistics hub. the new construction project covers a total area of 225,000 square meters. there will be 7 new lines with a total track length of 8.35 kilometers, a total construction area of 8,470 square meters, and a total investment of approximately 812 million yuan. after completion, the jingping integrated logistics hub will have multiple functions such as refrigerated and refrigerated food warehousing services, distribution services, import and export trade services, port services, comprehensive online display of food, and transactions. it is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
pinggu local railway is the only local railway in beijing. it was built in 1977 and officially opened to traffic in 1985. it starts from sanping station of beijing-harbin railway (sanhe city, hebei province) and currently ends at mafang station in pinggu district, with a total length of 16.2 kilometers. it is planned to build "three stations and six fields" by 2030, namely pinggu station, mafang station, and sanping station; pinggu field area, beichang district, midfield area, south field area, sanping handover area, and zhongtan cement field area. spatial layout. after completion, the transport capacity of the jingping logistics hub will reach 40 million tons, fully unleashing the service potential and radiation effect of the large logistics channel, and becoming an important node in the domestic cycle.
