according to a report from fast technology on september 18, crrc corporation limited (crrc) introduced that the 1000kw-class internal electric hybrid locomotive developed by crrc dalian company officially rolled off the production line today.

the locomotive is powered by a highly integrated diesel generator set and large-capacity power batteries and has power redundancy.the locomotive is mainly operated by power batteries, which greatly reduces the fuel consumption and emissions of the diesel engine. at the same time, the diesel engine meets the charging and traction requirements to ensure the reliable operation of the locomotive.

the locomotive is also equipped with an advanced microcomputer control system, a main-auxiliary integrated traction inverter and a microcomputer-controlled braking system. it has the characteristics of high efficiency, safety, and expanded functions. it can realize remote control driving, automatic driving, etc. according to the characteristics of the transportation conditions.

it is reported that on june 28 this year, crrc corporation limited released a series of energy locomotives to the world for the first time, with 7 representative models making their debut.

the series locomotives have three power configurations: "internal combustion engine + power battery", "power battery" and "hydrogen fuel cell", covering a variety of power from 1,000 kilowatts to 2,000 kilowatts.it can achieve low-carbon or zero-carbon emissions, low noise, and high-efficiency operation, effectively solving the problems of old diesel locomotives such as "high fuel consumption, high emissions, high noise, and poor comfort".

compared with traditional diesel locomotives, the series of new energy locomotives have achieved a comprehensive reduction in pollutant emissions. the "internal combustion engine + power battery" locomotive has achieved a 45% reduction in nitrogen oxide emissions, a 73% reduction in hydrocarbon emissions, and an 83% reduction in carbon monoxide emissions.

based on a 45% reduction in pollutant emissions, one new energy locomotive can emit 4 tons less harmful substances and 374 tons less carbon emissions each year, which is equivalent to planting 34,000 trees.
