IT Home reported on August 25 that the 2024 World Robot Conference was held in Beijing from August 21 to 25. VMR released its first humanoid robot, VersaBot, at the conference, which was officially claimed to be the world's first "pure" visual humanoid robot.

The parameters of VersaBot are as follows:

Model:VB-1

Height: 1600mm

Arm span: 2000mm

Navigation method: pure visual navigation

Safety protection: 360° visual obstacle avoidance

Docking method: 3D visual docking

Working ability: mobile handling, mobile grabbing, loading and unloading, sorting

VersaBot uses 3D pure visual navigation and is equipped with an RGBD camera. It can collect natural features of the three-dimensional environment, form a depth image and convert it into a point cloud map without any manual marking, realizing marker-free positioning and navigation. It has a 270°x70° field of view, a resolution of 1608x280, a frame rate of 10 fps and a perception capability of 30m, and can obtain RGB and 3D point cloud information in real time.
