Recently, the tunnel excavation project of the Second Construction Area of Chengdu-Dazhou High-Speed Railway of China Railway Beijing Bureau exceeded the 5,000-meter mark, reaching 5,136 meters, marking that the tunnel excavation task in the section has been completed by more than half and the project construction has made phased progress.
The total length of the line in the Chengda Waner Work Area is 18.293 kilometers, including 3.5 tunnels with a total length of 10.436 kilometers, accounting for more than 57%. In response to many problems such as harmful gases, karst, water gushing, and other unfavorable geological conditions, complex terrain around the tunnel site, and inconvenient transportation, the project department relies on the construction of smart construction sites, takes information application and standardized construction as the starting point, increases safety investment, rationally allocates resources, and adopts smooth blasting technology to minimize the process conversion time and continuously improve excavation efficiency.
At present, the excavation of the entrance and exit of Mingyueshan Tunnel, which is a key construction line of the project, has exceeded 2.6 kilometers in total. The remaining 2 kilometers are planned to be connected by the end of April 2025, creating favorable conditions for subsequent beam erection operations. The excavation of the Guangming Tunnel exit and the Guangming Tunnel inclined shaft (large and small mileage) has exceeded 2.2 kilometers in total, with 3.17 kilometers remaining. Xuetangshan Tunnel No. 1 has been connected. The excavation of Xuetangshan Tunnel No. 2 has exceeded 132 meters, with 84 meters remaining.
It is reported that the Chengdu-Dazhou-Wanzhou high-speed railway is an important part of the "Yangtze River Corridor" in the "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed railway passenger transportation of the national railway network. After completion, it will form a convenient passenger transportation channel from Chengdu to the Central Plains and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, greatly facilitating the travel of people along the line and promoting economic and social development along the line.
