Recently, the China Government Procurement Network released the "Notice of Bidding for Construction Drawing Design of New Shenzhen Xili Station and Related Projects" and the "Notice of Bidding for Construction Drawing Review of New Shenzhen Xili Station and Related Projects". According to the notice, the construction of Shenzhen Xili Station and related projects has been approved by the China Railway Group and the People's Government of Guangdong Province.
Xili High-speed Railway Hub is one of the "main hubs" among Shenzhen's "three main and four auxiliary" railway passenger stations. After completion, it will not only become the largest high-speed railway station in Shenzhen, but also the largest rail transit transfer station in the country.
The announcement shows that the project will build a new Shenzhen Xili Station on the site of the existing Xili Station in the Shenzhen Railway Hub to create a comprehensive transportation hub that integrates with the surrounding city. The total construction area within the railway red line is about 914,400 square meters. The total investment (feasibility study investment estimate) of Shenzhen Xili Station and related projects is 37.085 billion yuan. The railway grade is high-speed railway with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour and a planned construction period of 4 years.
According to the "Environmental Impact Report on the New Xili Station and Related Projects in Shenzhen Hub (Draft for Comments)" published earlier on the official website of the Guangdong Railway Group, the design scale of Xili Station is 13 platforms and 25 lines.
Currently, Shenzhen North Station, the largest high-speed railway station in Shenzhen, has 11 platforms and 20 lines. This means that in the future, Xili Station will surpass Shenzhen North Station and become the largest high-speed railway station in Shenzhen, with 2 more platforms and 5 more lines than Shenzhen North Station.
It is reported that in addition to introducing multiple intercity railways and subways, Xili Station will also introduce the Ganzhou-Shenzhen High-speed Railway, Shenzhen-Maoming Railway, Guangzhou-Shenzhen Second High-speed Railway, and Shenzhen-Shantou and Shenzhen-Zhuhai Intercity Railways.
It is worth mentioning thatThe Shenzhen-Shantou High-Speed Railway spans Shenzhen and Huizhou and ends at the Shenzhen-Shantou Special Cooperation Zone. There are six stations along the line, including Xili Station, Luohu North Station, Shenzhen Pingshan Station, Huiyang Station, Huidong South Station and Shenshan Station.
Shenzhen Xili High-speed Railway Hub is also the starting station of the Shenzhen-Shantou High-speed Railway. The Shenzhen-Shantou High-speed Railway is an important part of the coastal high-speed railway corridor in my country's "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway main corridor, an important project in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area infrastructure interconnection planning, and an important part of the "five railways and five highways" external transportation of the Shenzhen-Shantou Special Cooperation Zone. At present, the Shenzhen-Shantou High-speed Railway is being accelerated. After completion and opening to traffic, it will create a "30-minute traffic circle" between the Shenzhen-Shantou Special Cooperation Zone and the central area of Shenzhen.
