Recently, the "Rail Transit 'Network-Source-Storage-Vehicle' Collaborative Energy Supply Technology Application Research" project jointly implemented by CRRC Qingdao Sifang Rolling Stock Research Institute Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CRRC Sifang") and Beijing Jiaotong University and other units has successfully passed the grid connection acceptance. This project is the first photovoltaic energy storage new energy access to the high-speed railway traction power supply system project in China. Relying on its own cross-system and cross-professional technology integration and innovation advantages in the field of rail transit, CRRC Sifang Institute has expanded its concentric multi-technology and provided the project with a self-developed railway energy dispatching system, using Shandong's "green wisdom" to help the green and intelligent transformation and upgrading of railway transportation, allowing trains to "drive light".
"Research on the application technology of 'grid-source-storage-vehicle' synergistic energy supply for rail transit" is a key R&D project of the State Energy Group. The project was implemented at the Helleshao South traction substation on the Bazhun Line of the Xinshuo Railway Company of the State Energy Group. It fully utilized the photovoltaic resources along the local railway and was equipped with 5MW distributed photovoltaics and 5MWh energy storage. The photovoltaic energy storage power can be consumed synergistically at the railway voltage level of 27.5kV, realizing the synergistic energy supply of "grid-source-storage-vehicle" for rail transit. After the project is put into operation, it is expected that the annual photovoltaic power generation will be nearly 7 million kWh, which can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 5,700 tons per year. It has good economic and environmental benefits and will play a demonstration and leading role in building high-level green railways and increasing the penetration rate of clean energy in railways.
The railway energy dispatching system is based on power conversion and interconnection equipment and integrated energy management system, with four-quadrant current conversion control technology and distributed energy prediction technology as the core, and has functions such as new energy self-consistency, braking energy recovery, low-frequency oscillation suppression, reactive power compensation, harmonic control, and flexible interconnection. The system breaks the technical barriers of direct interconnection between the new energy power system and the 27.5kV high-voltage traction network, realizes the optimization of the energy structure of electrified railways, and promotes the integrated development of transportation energy with new energy as an important power supply source.
CRRC Sifang Research Institute and Beijing Jiaotong University jointly established a research and development team with deep integration of "industry, academia and research". CRRC Sifang Research Institute is responsible for the development of key system equipment such as 5MVA railway energy dispatching device, 27.5kV high-voltage box switchgear, relay protection system and energy management system. During the project implementation phase, the two parties worked closely together to overcome many technical difficulties such as high voltage, high power, multiple parallel connections, and many difficulties caused by harsh on-site conditions and special-shaped structures, and completed the system development, construction and commissioning tasks with high quality, and successfully passed the on-site acceptance, providing important guarantees for the project's grid-connected operation.
