according to zto data, more than 300 first-line express delivery outlets have updated their automated sorting equipment this year. in the first half of this year, yto express has also piloted automated sorting lines at its distribution centers in hangzhou xiaoshan, zhejiang and zhengzhou, henan, and strived to create a "new quality productivity" in the express delivery industry starting from the basic network. guangxi logistics group's guigang storage and transportation park plans to invest in intelligent unloading equipment for bagged materials in the next two years, replacing manual stacking with intelligent unloading equipment to improve work efficiency, reduce labor costs, and enhance the logistics service level of the park.


this year, unmanned express delivery vehicles have become a hot commodity that logistics and express delivery companies are vying to purchase. on july 3, the unmanned express delivery vehicle manufacturer jiushi intelligent released a new model, with sales reaching 5,290 vehicles on the same day. jiushi intelligent's current annual production capacity is 2,100 vehicles, which means that under the current production capacity, the company's production capacity for the next two years has been fully booked.


in the next three to five years, the logistics industry will have more than 200,000 unmanned delivery vehicles deployed. li qiang, cto (chief technology officer) of cainiao group, said in an interview that as relevant policies are gradually relaxed, more and more people are seeing the role of unmanned vehicles in meeting the needs of the express delivery industry and improving efficiency.

regarding the cost issue, wang tiankai believes that the investment is worth it. according to his calculations, since the equipment was put into operation, the personnel cost has been greatly reduced, and the cost per express delivery is about 0.05 yuan. regarding the "promoting the iteration of complete sets of intelligent sorting equipment" proposed in the "plan", wang tiankai said that compared with the update of a single piece, although the cost of the complete set iteration is higher, it will be smoother to use and the probability of problems will be lower, so the overall cost performance will be higher.

"logistics facilities and equipment are highly non-standardized, and relevant management departments need to implement policies in a classified manner. for standardized equipment such as forklifts and pallets, relevant equipment subsidy policies similar to the scrapping and renewal of old operating trucks can be introduced; for non-standard equipment such as logistics operating systems and railway reloading facilities, it is recommended that relevant management departments can formulate corresponding support policies according to the investment amount of the overall project." wang jixiang, vice president of the china warehousing and distribution association, said that in terms of the replacement of old postal and express equipment, the depreciation cycle of sorting equipment is about 10 years. it is less than 10 years away from the large-scale purchase of sorting equipment by the express industry, so it has not reached the stage of large-scale elimination. relevant support policies should also focus on supporting the renewal needs of equipment in the sinking market such as county-level sorting centers. in terms of the renewal and transformation of logistics facilities and equipment, relevant support policies should focus on guiding relevant logistics companies to carry out intelligent and smart upgrades of logistics automation equipment, and promote cost reduction and efficiency improvement in the logistics field through logistics networks and artificial intelligence technologies.


"in short, relevant management departments should fully consider the actual needs of the industry when formulating support policies, and provide renewal and transformation support to enterprises with business needs, transformation needs, and good market prospects." wang jixiang suggested that relevant management departments should also increase supervision of support funds to prevent some enterprises from maliciously defrauding national subsidies and causing the loss of state-owned assets.
