"at present, the city has realized demonstrations of various types of autonomous driving urban application scenarios, including intelligent connected passenger vehicles, unmanned shuttle services, unmanned cleaning, unmanned delivery and trunk logistics." wang ning, deputy director of the municipal transportation commission, introduced that these application scenarios have provided regular travel and life services to more than 10 million people, and have accumulated a large amount of vehicle-side perception, roadside perception, signal control and travel service data.

unmanned delivery will continue to expand service scenarios

"we have cooperated with the china post and sf express to promote the application of unmanned delivery scenarios in yizhuang and shunyi, beijing. more than 100 vehicles have obtained licenses." zeng wenda, chief architect of neolithic unmanned vehicles, said that the use of unmanned delivery in the express delivery industry can effectively reduce the workload of couriers and improve turnover efficiency, especially during nighttime hours. it can give full play to the advantages of machines working 24 hours a day, reducing costs and increasing efficiency for enterprises.
in the next step, unmanned delivery vehicles are expected to expand their service scenarios and take on more "functions," such as security patrols and gas pipeline inspections, zeng wenda said.
