In recent years, Longyang District has seized the development opportunity brought by the opening of the Baoshan section of the Dali-Ruili Railway, accelerated the construction of the Pupiao and Xiaoyong logistics parks, built an efficient and convenient logistics system, and injected new impetus into regional economic development.
Pupiao Logistics Park covers an area of 1,294 mu, and is committed to building a professional logistics park that focuses on bulk materials and heavy industrial products, integrating railway dedicated lines, cold chain warehousing, circulation processing, and energy storage; Xiaoyong Logistics Park covers an area of 1,095 mu, and is positioned as a comprehensive logistics park, mainly serving the warehousing and circulation of daily necessities and light industrial products, commercial services and multimodal transport. Relying on the major project of "one line and two parks", Longyang District combines road, air and rail transportation to create a land-air-rail intermodal transport model to promote the transformation and upgrading of the logistics industry.
At 8 o'clock in the morning, Liu Chaozhuan, a planner and dispatcher who has worked in the logistics company for 14 years, arrived at Ruihe Jincheng Pupiao Highway-Rail Combined Transport Logistics Park on time and started his day's work.
"My daily work is to plan the dispatch of freight trains, loading and unloading of arriving goods, railway internal staff handover, and on-site staff handover." Liu Chaozhuan, who has experienced traditional road transport and today's land, air and rail combined transport, is deeply impressed by the development of modern logistics. "Compared with traditional road transport, rail transport has greater throughput capacity and higher safety. With the application of information systems, the loading and unloading efficiency of the logistics park has been greatly improved, the time for drivers to find boxes has been significantly shortened, and the average daily delivery volume has also increased significantly."
"We previously relied on road transportation, which had small capacity, was greatly affected by the weather, and had large price fluctuations, which was very unfavorable for the daily operations of large-scale enterprises." Liu Jianfeng, deputy general manager of Ruihe Jincheng Pupiao Highway-Rail Combined Transport Logistics Park, introduced that after the opening of the railway, transportation prices remained stable throughout the year, and the daily capacity increased from less than 2,000 tons to more than 10,000 tons.
While seizing the opportunity, Longyang District has also taken a series of positive and effective measures to promote the development of modern logistics industry. "We actively support the development of logistics enterprises. We have cultivated 5 A-level logistics enterprises and assisted them in applying for logistics projects and financial support. The cumulative application of reward and subsidy funds is close to 40 million yuan." The relevant person in charge of the Longyang District Bureau of Commerce introduced that Longyang District has also issued the "Implementation Opinions on Accelerating the Development of Longyang's Modern Logistics Industry" to further promote the development of the logistics industry.
According to statistics, in 2023, Longyang District's road freight volume will be 71.06 million tons, with a cargo turnover of about 15.034 billion ton-kilometers; the annual railway freight volume will be 4.5 million tons, with a cargo turnover of about 3.066 billion ton-kilometers. Since the opening of Baoshan Railway Station on the Dali-Ruili Railway in July 2022, Banqiao Xiaoyong Freight Station has transported a total of 8.811 million tons of cargo, and Pupiao Logistics Park has transported a total of 2.7025 million tons of cargo.
