According to CCTV News, on August 14, local time, the Brazilian Center for Investigation and Prevention of Aviation Accidents transcribed the cockpit voice recorder data of the crashed aircraft. The device recorded the conversation between the captain and the co-pilot, with a total recording time of about two hours.
After realizing that the plane had lost lift, the co-pilot asked the captain what happened and said that the plane needed to be powered to stabilize it. It took about 1 minute from the time the captain and co-pilot realized that the plane's altitude had dropped sharply to the time it hit the ground. The two tried to perform some operations, but the recording ended with screams.
Investigators said that preliminary analysis of the material showed that the crashed plane's altitude suddenly dropped, and that it was impossible to determine the exact cause of the crash by analyzing the cabin audio alone. In addition, no electrical failure, fire or engine failure was found through the recording, and the wing ice was neither confirmed nor ruled out.
It is reported that the preliminary report on the crash will be released within 30 days.
On August 9, local time, a passenger plane of Brazil's Volpass Airlines flying from Cascavel, Paraná State to Guarulhos International Airport in Sao Paulo crashed in Vinhedo, Sao Paulo State, killing all 62 people on board. The head of the Brazilian Center for Investigation and Prevention of Aviation Accidents said at a press conference in Vinhedo on the 10th that the black box of the crashed plane had been sent to a laboratory in Brasilia for analysis.
