The name of the "fourth realm" of cooperation between Huawei and JAC Motors has been decided!

In a live broadcast program on the evening of July 15, Yu Chengdong, chairman of Huawei's Terminal BG and Intelligent Automotive Solutions BU, revealed that the brand jointly developed by Huawei and JAC Motors is named "Zunjie", rather than "Aojie" as previously speculated by the market.

Just recently, there was news from JAC Motors. This established automaker is making every effort to promote its cooperation project with Huawei, and the cooperative models have entered the whole vehicle test and verification stage. From this point of view, the "four realms" are ready to go.

As it is the last "realm" among the "four realms", the naming of the car models jointly developed by Huawei and JAC Motors has always attracted market attention.

On the evening of July 15, Yu Chengdong talked about Huawei's cooperation with several car companies in a live broadcast with Dongfang Selection partner Dong Yuhui. When talking about the cooperative model with JAC Motors, Yu Chengdong revealed that its name is "Zunjie", which is the result of Huawei and JAC Motors' cooperation in the Hongmeng Intelligent Driving model.


Yu Chengdong's statement also denied the name "Aojie" that was widely circulated in the market. So far, the four major automobile brands under Huawei Hongmeng Intelligent Driving have all had clear official names.

Earlier in March, Yu Chengdong revealed that the price of the models produced in cooperation with JAC will reach one million yuan. The "fourth realm" will compete with super luxury brand models such as Maybach and Rolls-Royce, and its positioning will be ultra-high-end.

It is worth noting that in addition to the finalization of the name, JAC Motors also recently announced the latest situation of the car models cooperating with Huawei.

At the 2024 China Automotive Forum, Xiang Xingchu, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman and General Manager of JAC Group, stated that he is making every effort to promote cooperation projects with Huawei.

According to him, the project has created a new platform and leading intelligent electric architecture, and has planned a number of products. It will create a Chinese brand of high-end luxury smart electric vehicles worth millions, filling the gap in my country's ultra-high-end smart new energy vehicle market.

"The first product has now entered the vehicle testing and verification stage. It is planned to roll off the production line at the end of this year and be launched in the first half of next year. The development of subsequent products is progressing in an orderly manner." Xiang Xingchu said.

At the same time, he also revealed that the construction of the factory has been basically completed, with a planned annual production of 200,000 vehicles, and will support the production of more JAC Huawei cooperation models in the future.

In fact, compared with the other "three realms" (the realm of inquiry, the realm of wisdom and the realm of enjoyment), the market has always been full of expectations for the "fourth realm".

In the industry's view, the domestic high-end passenger car market is expanding rapidly, while Chinese brands have a low penetration rate in this field. Currently, Hongmeng Zhixing Wenjie M9, also powered by Huawei, has topped the sales of models priced above 500,000 yuan. In the market's view, JAC is expected to break the monopoly of foreign capital in the million-dollar luxury car market with the help of Huawei's empowerment.

In the morning trading on July 16, JAC Motors' stock price suddenly rose, once rising by nearly 7%. Since entering July, JAC Motors' stock price has risen by more than 30%.


During the live broadcast, Yu Chengdong also responded for the first time to the reason why Huawei transferred the "Wenjie" trademark and patent to Seres. He pointed out that this was based on the requirements of national laws and regulations, that is, the brand must be owned by the manufacturer. In Yu Chengdong's view, Huawei has invested a lot in Wenjie, and this brand is worth at least 10 billion yuan, "the car manufacturer has made a lot of money."

Yu Chengdong said that Huawei has always focused on the accumulation of basic capabilities and believes that this is the key to the company's improving competitiveness and achieving long-term development.

At the same time, Yu Chengdong also admitted in the live broadcast last night that "the Zhijie S7 is not selling well." He believes that "this car is the best car for young people, but Huawei's marketing ability is still far behind, and the brand has not been established."

In fact, the delivery of the Zhijie S7 has been tepid since its launch. According to a third-party platform, since its second launch at the beginning of this year, the delivery volume of the Zhijie S7 in March-May was 3,197, 5,012 and 5,021 respectively, while in June, its delivery volume dropped to 2,995.
