Reservation Service

You can make advance reservations for unaccompanied children services through the airline’s official website, APP, offline sales department, or by calling the airline’s customer service number. The advance reservation time is subject to the specific regulations of each airline.

Check-in

On the day of the flight, the designated escort should bring the passenger's ID card or household registration booklet and other original documents and relevant application materials.Arrive at the airport 2 hours before your flight is scheduled to depart, go to the designated check-in counter to complete boarding and baggage check-in procedures.

The designated person who sends the child to the airport should fill out the "Unaccompanied Minor Service Form" and provide the name, phone number, address and other information of the person who sends the child to the airport at the departure station and the person who picks the child up at the arrival station.

The designated escort person must leave the airport half an hour after the flight takes off. In the event of flight delay or cancellation, the unaccompanied minor will be handed over to the designated escort person for care.

Going through security

Accompanied by service staff, unaccompanied children can pass through the priority security channel quickly.

Complete boarding

The service staff will accompany the child to the boarding gate, hand over to the staff, and check the child's identity, documents, boarding pass, and carry-on luggage before boarding. The crew will then guide the child to the corresponding seat and take good care of him/her.

Handover with the pick-up person

After the flight lands, the unaccompanied children will be greeted by ground service staff at the destination airport and will be accompanied to collect their luggage. They will then be connected with the designated pick-up person based on the service information and the unaccompanied children will be successfully delivered to the pick-up person.

Service Application

Children aged 5 to 12 who plan to fly alone can fill out the "Unaccompanied Minor Flight Application Form" and apply for unaccompanied minor services from China Eastern Airlines and Shanghai Airlines in advance. other requirements

① Children must purchase tickets with valid ID documents, such as ID card, household register (under 16 years old), passport, and check in with the original ID document that is the same as the one used to purchase the ticket. When picking up or dropping off at the airport, the pick-up or drop-off person must go through the pick-up or drop-off procedures at the airport with the original valid ID document.

② The person picking you up from the airport must be an adult who is over 18 years old and has full civil capacity.

③ After completing the check-in procedures for the unaccompanied minor, the person seeing him/her off should stay at the airport until the flight takes off.

④ After arriving at the destination, China Eastern Airlines service personnel will check the ID information of the person picking up the child based on the contents of the "Application Form for Unaccompanied Minors". After completing the handover, please ask the person picking up the child to sign the "Application Form for Unaccompanied Minors".
