as new energy vehicles move from "electrification" to "intelligent", the automotive electromagnetic compatibility industry faces new opportunities and challenges. in order to focus on new requirements for electromagnetic safety, solve new problems, and promote the formation of innovative technologies and the establishment of high-quality brands, at the 2024 9th automotive electromagnetic compatibility technology seminar and china road electromagnetic environmental conditions press conference, academicians of the chinese academy of engineering and beijing university of aeronautics and astronautics professor su donglin said: "if electromagnetism is incompatible, systemic collapse will occur. concepts and scientific methods need to be changed."
on september 26, the 9th automotive electromagnetic compatibility technology seminar and china road electromagnetic environmental conditions press conference were successfully held in hefei. su donglin, a professor at beijing university of aeronautics and astronautics and an academician of the chinese academy of engineering, gave an academician report titled "thoughts on electromagnetic safety issues in intelligent networked vehicles" at the meeting.
su donglin pointed out that the era of intelligence has made electromagnetic safety critical. in the newly promulgated "national defense law of the people's republic of china", the country has included electromagnetic space and cyberspace into national strategic security elements. as a node of the overall system, the transmission and control of information between automobiles and satellites and road control measures have further increased the requirements for electromagnetic safety of intelligent connected cars have been clarified.
su donglin said that electromagnetic compatibility is the foundation and foundation for realizing electromagnetic safety, and electromagnetic compatibility is a rigid requirement. however, in the past, research on electromagnetic compatibility stayed at the engineering and technical level, and there was no corresponding discipline in the country. in recent years, intelligent connected cars have used a large number of sensors, computers and decision-making systems. the increasingly complex functions have led to particularly prominent electromagnetic compatibility problems in cars. in this regard, su donglin raised four challenges:
1. the density and variety of the electromagnetic spectrum are constantly increasing;
2. the improvement in the level of integration of components leads to a reduction in the electromagnetic sensitivity threshold of components;
3. the digitization, intelligence and networking of the system require electromagnetic design of nodes and networks at the same time;
4. the extensive use of composite materials reduces the electromagnetic protection performance of the system.
su donglin emphasized that today, electromagnetic compatibility has developed to the point where systemic collapse will occur if it is incompatible. it is necessary to improve capabilities in two aspects: one is cognitive, and we must be able to accept treating "pre-diseases" rather than "treating" them. serious illness". electromagnetic compatibility issues will directly lead to electromagnetic safety issues. we should not only care about electromagnetic emission and electromagnetic sensitivity testing, but also the forward design of electromagnetic compatibility. the second one is about scientific methods, from circuit thinking to electromagnetic field thinking, and the technical system must be downgraded. when it comes to components, we must change from theoretical methods to electromagnetic field thinking.
regarding the electromagnetic safety issues of intelligent connected vehicles, su donglin suggested: first, we should pay attention to the electromagnetic safety of intelligent connected vehicles, and do a good job in top-level design and systematic layout forward design; secondly, we should pay attention to basic research and talent training on automobile electromagnetic safety, and speed up the formulation of adapt to automotive electromagnetic safety standards and specifications in the context of intelligence and electrification.
"we should face the world's technological frontier and strengthen our strategic technological strength," su donglin said. we should lay out and plan as early as possible to build an international community of destiny that leads the automotive industry and use our strength advantages to win international respect and cooperation.
