there are four families in the movie, and their conflicts escalate within two hours. everyone in the movie seems to be going "crazy" and facing terrible life difficulties with extreme drama. everyone is not at fault. it's just fate that seems cruel.
luo yu and bai hui (played by xiao yang and song jia) are a middle-aged family. their professions are lawyers and reproductive doctors respectively. due to their professions, they connect the other three families in the story. the communication process between the two characters and these families is also accompanied by their painful divorce process.
