cinova h₂ is crrc's latest green, zero-carbon passenger transport equipment. its technical indicators such as operating speed, passenger capacity, and cruising range have reached the world's advanced level.
liang caiguo, a technical expert at crrc, said that the train uses hydrogen as its power source and uses the chemical reaction of hydrogen and oxygen to generate electricity. the only reaction product is water, and there is zero carbon emission throughout the journey. in addition, the water discharged from the hydrogen fuel cell reaction is purified and recycled; the waste heat from the hydrogen fuel cell cooling is recycled for air conditioning and heating in winter.
cinova h₂ has a maximum operating speed of 200 kilometers per hour, a 4-carriage fully loaded with more than 1,000 people, and a range of 1,200 kilometers at a continuous operating speed of 160 km/h, which is equivalent to less than 0.3 grams of hydrogen per person per kilometer.
the train is highly intelligent and relies on crrc smartcare intelligent operation and maintenance system to realize data connection between train and ground, providing users with integrated intelligent operation and maintenance services throughout the entire life cycle. the train's hydrogen system has undergone rigorous safety verification in all scenarios and all working conditions, and is equipped with multiple safety protection systems such as intelligent detection and isolation protection to ensure safety. the vehicle has a wide range of application scenarios and can be used on non-electrified railways around the world to replace traditional internal combustion vehicles.

smart rail is a new type of low- to medium-capacity green rail transit vehicle that combines the advantages of trams and road vehicles and is highly compatible with urban public transportation needs. as it uses rubber wheels and virtual tracks, there is no need to build steel rails and power supply networks, and the construction and maintenance costs of smart rail are greatly reduced.
"it can support multiple energy supply methods such as fast-charging lithium batteries, supercapacitors, hydrogen energy and overhead power supply to meet the needs of different scenarios." dr. xiao lei, an engineer at crrc, introduced that the hydrogen energy smart rail has a maximum range of 500 kilometers. its fast charging capability is excellent, and a 5-minute recharge can increase the range by 20 kilometers.
zhigui 2.0 is highly intelligent and safe, capable of fully automatic driving. its core system functional safety level is as high as sil4, allowing passengers to ride with greater peace of mind.
according to crrc data, china has opened 9 intelligent rail lines, with a total safe operation of more than 15 million kilometers, carrying more than 35 million passengers, and saving more than 24,500 tons of energy and reducing carbon emissions. currently, the uae and malaysia have also introduced it.
