On August 20, "China-Africa Romance" (Season 5) - a Chinese film and television program exhibition and broadcast event officially kicked off in Cairo, the capital of Egypt. More than 20 excellent Chinese film and television programs in seven languages ​​including English, French, and Arabic will meet local audiences through more than 20 mainstream media in 15 African countries.

This exhibition and broadcast event was jointly launched by China Media Group and media from many African countries including Egypt, Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Burundi. Among them, the Fulani and Amharic versions of Chinese film and television programs appeared on African screens for the first time.

The day before the launch ceremony, the "Double Brilliance: China-Africa Film and Cultural Exchange Screening" Egypt Station event was held at the Cairo Chinese Cultural Center, showing the Arabic version of the Chinese film "The Tornado Girls" dubbed by CCTV to more than 100 Egyptian audiences. The audience actively participated in the interaction and expressed their strong interest in Chinese film and television programs and Chinese culture.

Since 2021, China Media Group has launched four seasons of the "China-Africa Romance" Chinese film and television program exhibition and broadcast activities, broadcasting more than 120 outstanding Chinese film and television programs, reaching a total of nearly 500 million African audiences.
