From traditional Changping specialty dishes to innovative delicacies with local flavors, the foot of "the world's first pass" was also filled with the smell of fireworks.At the opening ceremony of the 2024 Changping Food Festival, Changping also cooperated with Meituan to release a food map covering many specialty restaurants, including farm-style banquets that highlight the town’s IP, as well as well-known restaurants that embody commercial characteristics such as Shuyuan and Dazhaimen, which will provide tourists and citizens with more convenient food navigation.The reporter learned that although the food stalls at the foot of the Great Wall only lasted for one night, the various activities of this Changping Food Festival will continue until after this year's National Day. Du Wei, deputy director of the Changping District Bureau of Commerce, introduced that this event was jointly created by the Changping District Bureau of Commerce and multiple departments, industry associations and key catering companies, aiming to promote the high-quality development of Changping's catering industry and create a Changping specialty food culture brand. In the coming time, Changping will also organize a number of colorful activities around the three major sections of "Close to the mountains and waters, visit the food", "Taste buds carnival, visit the food", and "Tongue check-in, find food".
