On the morning of August 11, my country's independently developed large twin-engine unmanned transport aircraft conducted its first flight test at Fengming General Aviation Airport in Zigong, Sichuan. The maiden flight was a complete success, marking a new breakthrough in my country's high-level self-reliance and self-improvement in large unmanned transport aircraft in the field of low-altitude economy.

At 11:30 on August 11, the large unmanned transport aircraft autonomously entered the runway and took off smoothly. It landed smoothly after flying for 20 minutes as planned, and its maiden flight was a complete success.

The first flight test lasted about 20 minutes, and all systems worked normally during the flight. This drone has a wingspan of 16.1 meters, a height of 4.6 meters, a loading space of 12 cubic meters, and a commercial load capacity of 2 tons. It is the largest and domestically produced large-scale unmanned transport aircraft currently developed in China in accordance with market demand. At the same time, the aircraft also has the characteristics of easy loading and unloading, high reliability, high safety, and high intelligence, providing support for my country to expand new scenarios for air cargo transportation and create a new form of low-altitude economic smart logistics.

This type of drone has the ability to be deployed in complex terrains, as well as the advantages of all-weather, high-frequency cargo transportation capabilities. This large-scale unmanned transport aircraft, launched in response to the urgent needs of domestic air cargo transportation, has solved the key and difficult problems of unmanned feeder logistics, formed a solution for the improvement of the ability of large-scale drone applications from "pilot" to "demonstration", and from "equipment" to "service", accelerating the pace of my country's low-altitude economy towards intelligent and large-scale commercialization.

The reporter learned from the Aviation Industry Corporation of China that on June 12, my country's independently developed HH-100 commercial unmanned transport aircraft successfully completed its first flight test in Shaanxi, marking the official entry of this type of aircraft into the scientific research test flight stage.

At 9:16 a.m., the HH-100 commercial unmanned transport aircraft took off on time and landed smoothly after flying 35 kilometers. During the entire flight test, all systems and equipment of the aircraft worked normally, the aircraft attitude was stable, and the condition remained good. The first flight was a complete success, which also marked that this type of UAV has moved from the ground test stage to the scientific research test flight stage.

The HH-100 commercial unmanned transport aircraft was independently developed by the Aviation Industry Corporation of China. It has the characteristics of low cost, large tonnage and high payload. Its main application scenario is feeder logistics. It can also be expanded to other application scenarios such as forest and grassland fire fighting, fire monitoring, transportation and delivery of rescue materials, relay communications and artificial rainmaking.

Relying on the system platform of this aircraft, we will also develop a series of products of 5 tons, 10 tons and above in the future to continuously meet customers' development needs for large-scale, intelligent, low-cost and high-reliability unmanned transport aircraft.

According to Chen Lei, chief designer of the civil aircraft UAV project of Aviation Industry Corporation of China Xi'an Aircraft Corporation, "This aircraft has a universal modular design. One platform can have multiple applications and can be equipped with different mission cabins to achieve logistics and transportation tasks. In the future, we will be like an aerial highway, empowering our current low-altitude economy and enabling goods to be transported in all directions."
