Da Wan News On August 7, with the last truck of concrete pumped into the mold, the construction of the fourth section of the main tower of Pier No. 4 of the Chizhou Yangtze River Highway-Rail Bridge, undertaken by China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group, was completed, marking the successful emergence of the main tower from the water and significant progress in the project construction.

The fourth section of concrete is about to be poured at Pier No. 4 of the Chizhou Yangtze River Highway-Railway Bridge.

According to reports, the top elevation of the 4# section of the main tower of the Chizhou Yangtze River Railway Bridge is 17.90 meters, with a cross-sectional size of 16.39 meters long, 12.68 meters wide, and 5.90 meters high. C60 concrete is used. The water level of the Yangtze River during the flood season this year reached 13.70 meters. After the pouring is completed, the top surface of the tower column will be 4.2 meters higher than the construction water level.

The main tower of the Chizhou Yangtze River Railway Bridge adopts a diamond-shaped structure. The main tower is 272.7 meters high and is divided into 47 sections. The designed concrete volume is 45,000 cubic meters. The lower tower column is constructed with a lifting bracket, and the middle and upper tower columns are constructed with hydraulic climbing formwork. It is planned that the No. 4 main tower will exceed 80 meters within the year.

At present, the main tower of Pier 4 on the south bank of the Chizhou Yangtze River Railway Bridge has been completed to the fourth section and has been discharged from the water. The construction of the auxiliary piers of the side piers has been completed, the construction of the piers of the south approach bridge has been completed by about 67.7%, and three pieces of cast-in-place railway beams have been completed. It is expected that the construction of the cross beam under the main tower of Pier 4 will be completed within this year, and preparations will be made for beam erection.

The Chizhou Yangtze River Highway-Rail Bridge is the controlling project of the entire Hechi Intercity Railway. The bridge was built according to the standard of "highway + intercity railway + urban rail transit" across the river. It is also the sixth highway-rail bridge across the Yangtze River in Anhui Province. After the completion and operation of the Hefei-Chizhou Intercity Railway and the Chizhou Yangtze River Highway-Rail Bridge, the highway and intercity railway transportation channels from Hefei to the southern Anhui region via Chizhou will be opened. EMU trains can be taken between Hefei and Chizhou directly without detouring through Tongling, Anqing and other places. It is of great significance to further strengthen the infrastructure construction in the Anhui-Jiangsu region, improve the layout of the cross-river channel, and promote the implementation of the integrated development strategy of the Yangtze River Delta.
