On August 6, the signing ceremony between the People's Government of Hongyuan County, Aba Prefecture and Sichuan Jule Food Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Jule Food") was held in Chengdu. Jule Food will set up a yak dairy product enterprise and an e-commerce operation enterprise in Hongyuan County, relying on the advantages of Hongyuan County's yak industry to build a yak dairy product enterprise with a full industrial chain, driving farmers and herdsmen to increase their income and become rich.
Hongyuan is a famous "hometown of yaks" and the only pure animal husbandry county in Aba Prefecture. Its unique natural conditions have bred high-quality "Maiwa yaks". The county has 11.21 million mu of usable grassland, 470,000 "Maiwa yaks", and an annual output of yak meat and yak milk of more than 20,000 tons and 40,000 tons respectively.
The first phase of the project signed this time will invest 30 million yuan. The first yak milk production line will be officially put into production this year. The first batch will sign contracts with 300 farmers and herdsmen, which will drive an average increase of 10,000 to 20,000 yuan in income for each farmer and herdsman.

On the one hand, it is related to the current market environment faced by the entire dairy industry. In the past two years, problems such as oversupply of milk, falling milk prices, and insufficient demand for dairy products have put pressure on the entire industry. Faced with fierce competition, a number of dairy companies have turned to less competitive market segments and developed "niche milk" such as buffalo milk, goat milk, camel milk, and yak milk.
On the other hand, Sichuan has excellent yak resource advantages. The eleven counties in Sichuan, Gansu and Qinghai provinces with a radius of 300 kilometers around Hongyuan are the areas with the highest yak concentration in the world and can form industrialized production of original ecological yak milk.
"At present, the competition in the yak milk market is not very fierce, and Sichuan has good resource advantages. The development of the yak dairy industry will also make a certain contribution to the economic income of farmers and herdsmen," said Tong Enwen, chairman of the company.
However, the industrial development of yak milk still faces many special difficulties, such as low yak milk production, scattered milk sources, and difficulty in collecting raw milk. According to reports, the company plans to establish a high-quality and high-standard milk collection system within 3-5 years. At the same time, it will strengthen technical accumulation and cooperate with well-known universities and research institutions at home and abroad to conduct scientific research and in-depth development of yak milk.
