it is understood that this competition was hosted by the water sports management center of the state sports general administration and the chinese canoeing association and undertaken by the water sports management center of the liaoning provincial sports bureau. it attracted 685 athletes and coaches from 23 teams across the country.

the hubei rowing team won 2 gold medals and 1 bronze medal in this competition. in the women's single canoe 1000m event, jiang xina won the gold medal with a time of 4 minutes 32 seconds 305; in the women's double canoe 200m event, jiang xina and teng anshuo won the bronze medal; in the women's double canoe 500m event, jiang xina and teng anshuo won the championship again with a time of 1 minute 56 seconds 689.

this is the second consecutive year that jiang xina has won the gold medal in the national canoeing still water championships at the same venue. on august 24, at the 2024 canoeing world championships held in uzbekistan, jiang xina also won the bronze medal in the women's single canoe 1000m event.
