going to the booth, cailianshe reporters noticed that the solid batteries displayed at academician ouyang minggao's workstation are divided into all-solid-state and high-safety solid-state batteries. on-site staff introduced that the positive and negative electrode materials of high-safety batteries are different from those of liquid lithium batteries, and solid electrolytes will be coated on the diaphragm, which is a semi-solid-state battery.

on-site staff mentioned that the manufacturing process of semi-solid-state batteries is similar to that of existing liquid lithium batteries, but all-solid-state batteries will be "completely different concepts". the characteristic of all-solid-state batteries is that there is no diaphragm. currently, each company has different development routes, different material selections, and different processes. it is difficult to predict what the future form will be.

it is understood that the 4gwh mass production line of high-safety batteries at academician ouyang minggao's workstation will go into mass production in october next year, and the 1gwh pilot line will go into mass production in june next year.all-solid-state batteries are only laboratory products, and high-safety batteries have been put into small test lines and small batches have been supplied. "major customers include drones and electric motorcycles, which are using them because their high specific energy and high safety are unmatched by liquid batteries," the aforementioned staff member told cailianshe reporters.

dongchi new energy displayed semi-solid lithium iron phosphate batteries. on-site staff told cailianshe reporters that the company has put into production a pilot line with an annual production capacity of 500mwh. it is reported that dongchi new energy is a cooperative enterprise of listed company guansheng shares to enter the solid-state battery market. the two parties have established a joint venture company, guansheng dongchi, and plan to invest in a new semi-solid lithium iron phosphate battery construction project. the land acquisition has been completed and the factory is under construction. the project construction time is expected to be 30 months.

as for car companies, gac aion's booth displayed the company's previously released haobo all-solid-state battery samples.the on-site staff told cailianshe reporters that haobo's all-solid-state battery cells are still in the pilot stage. "the 30ah battery cell is still too small to be installed in the car, and the capacity needs to be increased before it can be (applied)."

dongfeng group exhibited a new generation of solid-state batteries with a cell energy density of more than 405wh/kg. according to the on-site staff, the solid-state battery is still semi-solid, with high-nickel ternary materials used for the positive electrode material, highly stable modified lithium metal negative electrode used for the negative electrode material, and a new in-situ solidified composite electrolyte. this product belongs to the third generation of semi-solid-state batteries. previously, dongfeng motor's first generation of semi-solid-state batteries has been demonstrated and operated, and the second generation is in the stage of vehicle installation and loading verification.
