new design inside and outside, larger size

the appearance of the zs hybrid+ is not only quite different from the previous generation zs, but also somewhat similar to the previously announced hs facelift. in terms of the front, the zs hybrid+ has a large rectangular grille, a sporty lower air dam and narrow air intakes on both sides. the mg logo is moved to the front edge of the car, and the headlight design is somewhat elegant and slightly aggressive. the differences from the hs are also in the headlights and air intakes on both sides. the hs's light group is more slender, and the air intake does not expand as much upward. however, from the overall design point of view, both the hs and the zs are moving towards the brand's latest design vocabulary.

the zs hybrid+ se model uses 17-inch knife-cut wheels, and the trophy model is upgraded to 18 inches. the design is also more dynamic than the hs. the manufacturer also mentioned that the body size of the zs hybrid+ has been increased, with a length of 4,430mm (an increase of 11 cm), a width of 1,820mm (an increase of 1 cm), a height of 1,640mm (a decrease of 1 cm), and a wheelbase increased to 2,610mm; at the rear of the car, the shape of the taillights has also become sharper, and there have been significant changes below the bumper, including a more sporty double-sided exhaust pipe. another major change is that the license plate originally at the bottom has now been moved to the middle position.

a major update focus of the new generation zs is the introduction of hybrid technology. it is equipped with the hybrid+ powertrain of mg3. the engine itself is an atkinson cycle 1.5-liter naturally aspirated setting with a thermal efficiency of 41% and a maximum horsepower of 102. as for the motor part, it has 136 horsepower, making the total output reach a maximum of 197 horsepower. with a capacity of 1.83kwh battery, the fuel consumption performance under the wltp standard reaches 5l/100km. at the same time, it takes only 8.7 seconds to accelerate from a standstill to 100 kilometers per hour, and it takes 7.2 seconds to accelerate from 80 kilometers per hour to 120 kilometers. there are also 3 driving modes: eco, standard and sport.

in terms of safety equipment, the entire zs hybrid+ series is equipped with the mg pilot driver assistance system as standard, including adaptive cruise control, active emergency braking (with pedestrian and rider detection), lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, rear cross traffic warning, blind spot detection, forward collision warning and traffic congestion assist, etc.
