since late august, xinjiang fruits have been put on the market in batches and have gradually entered the beijing market. during a recent visit, the reporter noticed that many boutique fruit supermarkets have set up xinjiang fruit sections to attract consumers to stop by. on the fresh food e-commerce platform, the variety of xinjiang fruits such as prunes, almonds, cantaloupe, winter dates, xizhou honeydew melons, and seedless grapes is also richer than in previous years, and the prices have been reduced, which is welcomed by many consumers.

on the afternoon of august 29, the reporter came to the financial street store of ole boutique supermarket. in the middle of the fruit section, a display with a poster with the words "xinjiang special zone" was particularly eye-catching. sate plums from kashgar, dinosaur egg plums from aksu and desert winter dates, a wide variety of xinjiang fruits, attracted many consumers to come and buy.

"they were just put on the market last week, and they are selling very well, with many repeat customers." the clerk told the reporter that among these fruits, the sartre plums are particularly popular. "in previous years, we sold small plums, which were not as big as these and did not taste as good as these. sartre plums were put on the market for the first time this year, and they sold for more than 6,000 yuan on the first day."

the reporter noticed that the unit price of these xinjiang fruits ranged from 49.9 yuan to 69.9 yuan per kilogram. the transportation cost was high, so the price was much higher than similar fruits. even so, many consumers were still willing to try something new. "the market cycle of xinjiang fruits is generally short. large prunes can be sold for a month, while cherry plums may only be sold for half a month," said the clerk.

taking advantage of this recent "window period", various fresh food e-commerce platforms have also launched the "xinjiang fruit festival", with more varieties than offline supermarkets. on the dingdong grocery shopping platform, more than 20 types of xinjiang fruits, including glacier snow water honeydew melon, glacier snow water seedless white grapes, dried apricots, prunes, glacier snow water glass crisp grapes, and sweet sesame peaches, have been put on the shelves.

"this year is a big year for xinjiang fruits. plums, winter dates, and honeydew melons are all in good harvest, especially prunes. the output has increased by 50% over last year, while the price has dropped by nearly one-third compared with previous years." yang youheng, the platform's director of fruit product development, said that sales are expected to reach 3 to 4 times that of last year. during this year's xinjiang fruit festival, the platform will further expand the procurement and sales of xinjiang fruits. at present, the platform has gradually put more than 20 local fruits on the shelves, covering various types of honeydew melons, grapes, winter dates, peaches, apricots, plums, etc.

this year, hema will have 6,600 tons of xinjiang fruits on the shelves, more than in previous years. this year, the platform will also upgrade the "xinjiang fruit festival" to the "xinjiang food festival". in addition to various fruits, xinjiang-style delicacies such as yili's piyazi beef baked buns, tacheng's lapizi hot sauce, hotan's squab, and altay's hairy crabs will also be available online.
