The Ji Liu Stele, also known as the Yizhou Puzhao Temple Stele, is a famous stone carving work of the Jin Dynasty. This stele was erected by the chief monk of Puzhao Zen Temple, Miaoji Zen Master Juehai, when he was expanding and renovating the temple in the fourth year of the Jin Dynasty Huangtong (1144). The inscription "Yizhou Puzhao Zen Temple Construction Record" was written by Zhong Rushang, and the characters on the stele were collected from the calligraphy of Liu Gongquan, a famous calligrapher in the Tang Dynasty, and were carefully carved on the stone by the famous calligrapher Zhong Ruxi. This stele is called the "Ji Liu Stele" because it is carved with the characters of Liu Gongquan.

Unfortunately, the Jiliu Stele has been damaged many times in history. In the Tancheng earthquake in the seventh year of Emperor Kangxi's reign (1668), the stele was shattered and fell to the ground. Although it was later repaired, it was still incomplete. In addition, the Japanese invaders tried to steal this cultural relic but failed. Later, the Jiliu Stele was completely destroyed. The Jiliu Stele now standing in Puzhao Temple was copied by later generations after repeated comparisons with rubbings and careful carving.
