Mr. Zhang also complained to Sam's Club about this matter and submitted relevant pictures in the complaint system. However, Mr. Zhang said that Sam's Club replied that there was no problem with the supplier and all links. After communicating with the supplier, the supplier also said that there was no such component on the machine. Sam's Club also proposed a refund for the roast chicken, but was rejected by Mr. Zhang. Mr. Zhang expressed the hope that Sam's Club could give a satisfactory answer, "Where did this foreign object come from?"

The reporter called Sam's Club about this matter, and Sam's Club responded that it had immediately checked the facilities and equipment involved in the entire process of roasting chicken in the store, and asked the supplier to conduct relevant investigations. According to the preliminary investigation report, no suspicious metal foreign objects were found. At the same time, Sam's Club said that it would continue to investigate in depth and hoped that Mr. Zhang would bring the foreign objects to the store for member service. The reporter also asked about the supplier's situation, but received no answer.

An industry insider told reporters that there are many ways in which foreign matter such as machine parts may be mixed into food during the food processing process, such as oversights during manual maintenance, intentional human intervention, or natural wear and tear of the machine leading to its falling off. This is possible at every stage of the processing process.

As for the bullet-shaped foreign body, the insider believes that the foreign body may be mixed in during the source processing, such as when removing the internal organs at the slaughterhouse. However, the insider also said that regular food factories are equipped with detection equipment, and the probability of such large-sized metal foreign bodies not being detected by metal detection is extremely low, so it is impossible to determine at which stage the foreign body was mixed in.

The reporter also called the Nanshan Supervision Bureau of the Shenzhen Municipal Administration for Market Regulation about this matter.
