On August 13, Zeekr officially released the 2025 Zeekr 001 and 2025 Zeekr 007, with official starting prices of 259,000 yuan and 209,900 yuan respectively. It is reported that the launch of the new Zeekr car has achieved price reduction with increased configuration, and this move has caused dissatisfaction among many car owners who have just purchased the previous models. They questioned that the brand replacement speed of Zeekr was too fast, which made the "new car" they bought become "old model", causing considerable losses.

Among them, Mr. Chen, a car owner from Shenzhen, Guangdong, told The Paper that the salesperson at Zeekr Shenzhen Longhua No. 8 Warehouse 4S store repeatedly told him that the model would not be upgraded in the short term. On August 8 this year, he paid a deposit for the latest 2024 model of "Zeekr 007".
However, on August 13, Zeekr’s official Weibo account announced that the model would be upgraded, making Mr. Chen an old car owner in just a few days. “Zeekr’s false advertising has seriously infringed upon the legitimate rights and interests of consumers and caused me corresponding economic losses. I hope to be able to refund all deposits or upgrade to a corresponding new model.”
"New car" becomes "old model", triggering complaints from car owners
According to Mr. Chen, when he went to the Zeekr Shenzhen Longhua No. 8 Warehouse 4S store to buy a car in August this year, the salesperson clearly stated that the latest 2024 model of the "ZEKR 007" would not be updated in the short term and he could buy it with confidence. Mr. Chen was moved and paid the deposit on August 8.

However, before Mr. Chen took delivery of the car, on August 13, Zeekr’s official Weibo account announced that the model would be upgraded.
Mr. Chen said that when he purchased the car, the salesperson repeatedly promised that the car would not be remodeled soon, so he decided to buy it. As a result, the official move of Zeekr caused the new car he had not yet picked up to depreciate rapidly.
Mr. Chen's car buying experience in Shenzhen is not an isolated case. Ms. Jiang from Taizhou, Zhejiang also encountered a similar situation when buying a car.
Ms. Jiang said that she test drove the Zeekr 007 car at the Taizhou Linhai Yintai 4S store on July 29 this year and paid a deposit. At that time, the salesperson told Ms. Jiang that there would be no model upgrades in the next six months, and the rights and interests of car owners who bought the car in August would decrease. Ms. Jiang paid the balance on July 31, and on August 13, Zeekr officially announced the new 2025 model.
Ms. Jiang said that the points and electric cards promised by Zeekr in July have not been received, and the new model has had a "huge impact" on the owner who just picked up the car 10 days ago. "The price reduction of the new model means that I spent an extra 20,000 yuan to buy an old model. I feel cheated." Ms. Jiang said.
The reporter of The Paper searched for keywords such as "ZEKR" on a complaint platform (Black Cat) and found that many owners of the 2024 Zeekr 001 and 2024 Zeekr 007 have complained, believing that Zeekr concealed its plan to launch new cars, which harmed the rights of consumers and demanded compensation. Among them, one consumer said: "You can buy a car model that previously required an additional 20,000 yuan at the original price, and the salesperson thinks it is reasonable, saying that the first-generation car owners are more at a loss. Is it right?"

At the new car launch conference on the 13th, Zeekr launched the 2025 Zeekr 007 and the 2025 Zeekr 001. According to the latest introduction on Zeekr's official website, the new models have been "completely upgraded" in appearance, smart drive, smart cockpit, and smart driving, with a price range of 259,000-329,000 yuan.
In terms of price, compared with the old model, the price of the new Zeekr 001 remains unchanged, and a new entry-level model has been added; by comparing the 2024 and 2025 promotional posters of "Zeekr 007", it is found that except for the four-wheel drive performance version, the other versions of the new Zeekr 007 have been reduced by 20,000 to 30,000 yuan, among which the "rear-wheel drive intelligent driving version" has been reduced by 20,000 yuan, and the "four-wheel drive intelligent driving version" has been reduced by 30,000 yuan.

However, many old car owners are dissatisfied with the fact that the price of some versions of the 2025 Zeekr model has been reduced on the basis of performance upgrades. The reporter compared the promotional pictures of the 2024 and 2025 Zeekr 007 and found that the price of the 2025 Zeekr 007 "Rear-wheel drive Intelligent Driving Edition" has dropped from 229,000 yuan to 209,000 yuan, and the "Four-wheel drive Intelligent Driving Edition" has dropped from 259,000 yuan to 229,000 yuan.
The Paper noted that on July 12, Zeekr’s Chief Marketing Officer Guan Haitao reposted on Weibo the news that Zeekr’s legal department had refuted the rumor that “the new version 001 will be officially announced at the end of this month” and publicly solicited clues and evidence, offering a reward of one car to the provider. As a result, Zeekr’s official website officially released the latest 2025 models of “Zekr 001” and “Zekr 007” on August 13, 2024.

According to previous media reports, in response to the new model being released half a year later, a relevant person in charge of Zeekr said that as compensation for old car owners, Zeekr provided a car purchase voucher worth 10,000 yuan. "The first owner of a new Zeekr car who places an order for the first 2025 Zeekr 001, 2025 Zeekr 001 FR and 2025 Zeekr 007 before 24:00 (inclusive) on September 30, 2024, can enjoy a 10,000 yuan discount on the final payment. Regardless of whether the old car is disposed of, the first owner of a new Zeekr car can enjoy the benefits by adding a trade-in."
In addition, users who have placed orders for Zeekr 001/007 before 20:00 on August 13 but have not yet been scheduled for production will be automatically switched and delivered the corresponding version of the upgraded model equipped with the Haohan Intelligent Driving Solution. Users whose App status is displayed as "pending confirmation of departure", "about to depart", "vehicle in transit", "vehicle in preparation", or "pending for pick-up" cannot participate.
On August 15, a reporter from The Paper contacted Zeekr's official customer service. The customer service responded to the speed of the update by saying, "Due to the rapid development of new energy vehicles, technology is also constantly improving, and Zeekr also hopes to provide updated technology to users as soon as possible." In addition, regarding the price reduction of some versions of the 2025 Zeekr 007, the customer service staff responded that the price plan was formulated based on market conditions.
