China Youth Daily Client News (China Youth Daily/China Youth Network reporter Liu Jiaxin and Song Baoying) The "Red Boat" tunnel boring machine for the Fenhu Tunnel of the Suzhou-Jiaxing-Ningbo High-Speed Railway recently started in Jiaxing, Zhejiang, officially starting its journey across Fenhu Lake, marking a new stage in the construction of intercity transportation in the Yangtze River Delta.
The Tongsu-Jiaxing-Ningbo high-speed railway connects Nantong and Suzhou in Jiangsu Province with Jiaxing and Ningbo in Zhejiang Province. It is an important part of the "coastal corridor", one of the main corridors of my country's "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network. As the controlling project of the entire line, the Fenhu Tunnel was built by the Shanghai-Hangzhou Railway Passenger Dedicated Line Co., Ltd. and constructed by China Railway Tunnel Bureau Group Co., Ltd. It crosses the border between Zhejiang and Jiangsu provinces, with a total length of 3,242 meters (excluding the open-cut section) and a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour.
The cutter head of the "Red Ship" super-large diameter slurry balance shield machine has a diameter of 14.82 meters, equivalent to the height of a 5-story building, a total length of 115 meters, and a total weight of about 4,000 tons. It integrates a series of intelligent systems such as the shield intelligent interconnection project collaborative management and control application system and green and environmentally friendly mud and water separation technology, which realizes the effective separation and recycling of mud and water, ensuring the maximization of resource utilization and the minimization of environmental impact.
