Yangzi Evening News reported on August 12 (correspondent Wu Jingsun Shiquan, reporter Wan Lingyun) On the morning of August 12, under the careful maintenance of Zhenjiang Maritime Safety Administration, the "Yi Bo 317" ship was successfully launched in the front waters of Zhenjiang Shipyard Terminal in Jiangsu Province.
The reporter learned that the "Yi Bo 317" has a total length of 111 meters, a beam of 30 meters, a depth of 7.5 meters, a designed draft of 4.88 meters, a gross tonnage of 9459, and a deadweight tonnage of 12,000 tons. This ship is the fourth batch of 12,000 DWT (deadweight tonnage) barges built by Zhenjiang Shipyard for the "Belt and Road" project of COSCO Shipping Bulk Shipping Co., Ltd. - Guinea bauxite project.
During the ship launching operation, the ship's large launching stroke affected the normal navigation in the waterway. Zhenjiang Maritime Safety Administration issued a navigation notice and navigation warning in advance, clarified the traffic control measures, and set up two ship interception lines in the waters near the Yangtze River #117 Hongfu and the waters near the Runyang Bridge.
Getting in the water
At 7:30 a.m., the maritime department began to organize traffic, and through a combination of VTS traffic control and on-site interception by patrol boats, it guided upstream and downstream ships to avoid the construction waters and anchor in anchorages and mooring areas as much as possible, and directed upstream ships with a height of no more than 18 meters above the waterline to choose to enter the Yizheng Jie Waterway for navigation.
By around 9 o'clock, the ship launching operation was completed, and the maritime department's law enforcement forces coordinated online and offline, and gradually released the anchored ships in accordance with the principle of uncontrolled ships first and controlled ships later, and downstream ships first and upstream ships later, and navigation order was restored in an orderly manner.
