zhonglingshan tunnel is a control project for the entire wenmeng railway. it is located in xin'ansuo town, mengzi city. it has a total length of 3956.22 meters and a maximum burial depth of about 313 meters. it is a single-hole, double-line tunnel. the geographical environment of the tunnel area is complex and changeable. it is located in a mountainous area with structural dissolution and erosion. the tunnel passes through fault areas and water-rich areas with strong dolomite sandification. the rock mass is broken and groundwater is developed. the stability of the surrounding rock of the tunnel is poor, causing collapse and muddy water intrusion. the risk is high. it is a class i high-risk tunnel. the entrance is steep, the construction is difficult, and the safety risk is high.
in order to ensure that the construction of the zhonglingshan tunnel is completed on schedule, the china railway eighth bureau wenmeng railway project, under the organization of the south yunnan railway construction headquarters of the china railway kunming bureau, planned ahead and carefully deployed, optimized the construction plan, strengthened material support, and improved the emergency plan. overcoming many unfavorable factors such as tight construction schedule, difficult construction organization, and changeable climate, we coordinated the construction of temporary construction projects in advance, laying a solid foundation for the rapid advancement of tunnel construction.
the wenmeng railway has a total length of about 116 kilometers and a design speed of 160 kilometers per hour. it is a national class i dual-line passenger and freight electrified railway. the line leads from wenshan station in wenshan city, wenshan prefecture, and goes west through mengzi city in honghe prefecture before connecting to mongolia. from the station, a second line will be built along the yuhe railway to the mimeng high-speed railway honghe station. after completion, it will further improve the structure of the road network in southeastern yunnan, build a convenient transportation channel between the urban agglomerations of central and southeastern yunnan, greatly facilitate the travel of people of all ethnic groups along the route, and support the development of tourism and other industries. it will also accelerate the construction of railway corridors along the border. it is of great significance to promote high-quality economic and social development in border areas and ethnic minority areas and serve yunnan's high-level opening up to the outside world.
