Zhenjiu was founded in 1975 and is produced in Zunyi, Guizhou, the core production area of Chinese Maotai-flavor liquor. In 2009, Guizhou Zhenjiu Factory was restructured and renamed Guizhou Zhenjiu Brewing Co., Ltd.
After the restructuring, Guizhou Zhenjiu's development entered the fast lane: the factory area expanded from 285 acres to more than 3,500 acres, the annual production capacity increased from 2,000 tons to 41,000 tons, the number of employees expanded from more than 200 to more than 8,000, and the annual revenue increased from 10 million yuan to 4.5 billion yuan.
