Recently, a small program called "Rider Community Building Number Map" (hereinafter referred to as "Building Number Map") has caused heated discussions on the Internet. It was originally a tool for delivery riders to quickly find community building numbers, but it has exposed residents' privacy, tagged customers with dirty words, and even spread pornographic rumors. After receiving complaints, the small program was suspended on August 1. However, on August 6, a search found that the data of the small program had been migrated to another backup account, and the previous problems have not been resolved. (Read Special News on August 6)

The "Building Number Map" applet can help riders quickly locate the building number in the community, improve delivery efficiency and riders' delivery experience, and reduce the time and energy spent on finding addresses; moreover, consumers can also get their takeaways faster, and the taste of food will be improved accordingly. It can be seen that the "Building Number Map" applet is beneficial to both riders and users.

However, nowadays, the "Building Number Map" applet has exposed residents' privacy, marked community access control passwords, tagged users with dirty words, and even spread pornographic rumors. What is more worrying is that these marked information is publicly visible to everyone on the map, even accurate to the user's house number. This not only violates personal privacy rights, but also provides opportunities for criminals to take advantage of, threatening the personal safety of users.

The annotator adds annotation information at will. Is supervision just for show? The investigation found that the annotation content of the "Building Number Map" applet does not need to be reviewed, and the annotator does not need real-name authentication. Anyone can view and add annotations anonymously. So, when the applet was designed and developed, did it consider user privacy issues? If so, why can anyone still add annotation information? If not, do we need to question the professional ability of the applet developer?

Since anyone can view and add annotations anonymously, does that mean that anyone can change or delete annotations at will? This is not the case. It is not that easy for users to delete malicious annotations. The mini program requires users to watch an ad before continuing, but after clicking Continue, the mini program no longer responds, and there is no customer service interface or contact information on the entire page. Why is it so easy and casual to annotate information, but it is so difficult for users to delete malicious annotations? Or is this a tacit consent?

Although the "Building Number Map" applet suspended its service after receiving complaints, the applet data was moved to another backup account just a few days later, and the previous problems have not been solved. The relevant departments are probably not "incapable" but "refuse to do" to see such a phenomenon.

The "Building Number Map" applet should clearly require the annotator to undergo real-name authentication and strengthen the review and management of their annotated information to ensure that riders protect the user's privacy information and personal safety while using the applet. Relevant departments should also strengthen the supervision of the applet. When a applet is complained about, it should not only be banned, but also increase the punishment and severely deal with the relevant responsible persons in accordance with the law.

The food delivery rider map is designed to treat every "rushed" rider well, but we also hope that the riders can treat every user who has an order well. Only by understanding and respecting each other can we maximize the interests of both parties and better reflect the texture and temperature that a city should have.
