The third-person 6V6 superhero shooting game "Marvel Confrontation" developed by NetEase will be launched on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC platforms, and the release date has not yet been determined. In a recent interview with foreign media GamingBolt, the development team stated that designing melee heroes is one of the biggest challenges facing the production team.

"One of the biggest challenges we face is designing a series of diverse superheroes that focus on melee combat, such as the Hulk, Venom, Black Panther, Spider-Man, Thor, etc." When asked how to ensure the balance of strength of the characters in the game while ensuring that they are flesh and blood with their own characteristics, the developer said, "Although everyone has unique abilities, their means of attack are all centered on melee combat, which poses a great obstacle to action design. If their melee actions are not handled properly, the game may lack depth, become chaotic and lack fun."

However, the developer mentioned that the diversity of Marvel heroes' abilities was a great help, allowing NetEase to play freely. For example, when designing the Hulk, the production team restored his extraordinary jumping ability, allowing him to shoot down flying opponents, becoming the nemesis of aerial heroes and giving him a unique fighting style. Spider-Man's agility was also fully utilized, allowing him to achieve seamless switching between close and long distances in the game.
