on september 21, the media reported that wuxi hongqiao hospital was suspected of fraud and insurance fraud, which attracted widespread attention from the society. in order to crack down on the illegal and irregular use of medical insurance funds and protect the people's "medical money" and "life-saving money", in accordance with the deployment requirements of the national medical insurance bureau and the jiangsu provincial party committee and the provincial government, starting from september 23, the jiangsu provincial medical insurance bureau and the jiangsu provincial health commission have drawn more than 120 personnel from all over the province to form 20 provincial supervision and inspection teams to conduct on-site inspections of relevant medical insurance designated medical institutions in wuxi. the inspection team members include staff from the medical insurance department, health department and professionals from medical institutions.

according to the relevant person in charge of jiangsu provincial medical insurance bureau, the targets of this special inspection are mainly based on the clues obtained from big data analysis, the clues from accepted reports, and combined with the clues issued by the national medical insurance bureau, a number of designated medical institutions in wuxi city were selected for on-site inspection. the main purpose is to standardize medical service behaviors, maintain the safety of the use of medical insurance funds, and investigate and punish the illegal use of medical insurance funds in accordance with the law.

this inspection will be carried out in accordance with the relevant provisions of the "regulations on the supervision and administration of the use of medical security funds" to inspect the medical services and medical expenses of designated medical institutions that are included in the scope of payment of basic medical insurance. the inspection will focus on inducing or assisting others to seek medical treatment or purchase medicines under false names or falsely; fabricating medical service items, charging repeatedly, charging above the standard, and charging for separate items; replacing drugs, medical consumables, diagnosis and treatment items, and service facilities; providing false certification materials, colluding with others to issue false expense receipts, and other acts of defrauding medical insurance funds.
