the worldskills competition is the world's highest-ranking, largest-scale and most influential vocational skills competition. it is known as the "worldskills olympics" and its competitive level represents the world's advanced level of vocational skills development today!

the 47th worldskills competition closed in lyon, france on september 15th local time. there were 59 competition events in total, and more than 1,400 contestants from nearly 70 countries and regions around the world participated in the competition. my country sent a total of 68 contestants to participate in all 59 events. the average age of the contestants was 22 years old. among them, there were 4 contestants from shenzhen who participated in four events including cloud computing, optoelectronic technology, industrial design technology, and graphic design technology.

it is reported that huang jiajie, a contestant from shenzhen technician college, won the gold medal in the cloud computing project. this is the second time that a shenzhen contestant has won the championship in this project. the industrial design technology project is a new project in this world skills competition. zhuo jiapeng, a contestant from shenzhen technician college, won the first gold medal in this project. chen junan from shenzhen institute of information technology won the championship in the optoelectronic technology project of the first national skills competition in 2020. after four years of hard work, he finally won the highest medal in the optoelectronic technology project on behalf of china. zhang zihong from shenzhen technician college won the silver medal in the graphic design technology project.
