at 19:45 on september 15, the zhaitang fire rescue station received a dispatch from the 119 command center of the municipal fire rescue corps, saying that four people were lost and trapped on their way down the mountain near the malan forest farm in malan village, zhaitang town, and urgently needed rescue. after receiving the dispatch, the zhaitang fire rescue station quickly dispatched a vehicle with seven people to the scene.
at 20:12, the zhaitang fire rescue station arrived at the assembly point at the foot of the mountain and joined the local guide. it is understood that four trapped people got lost on the way down the mountain. at this time, it was dark and part of the wooden plank road that was usually passable was washed away by the flood. at 20:19, six fire rescue personnel, one policeman and one guide carried supplies up the mountain for search and rescue.
on the way up the mountain, the rescuers found that the road was full of gravel, and some wooden plank roads were tilted and broken, which brought safety hazards to the rescue. at 20:43, the rescuers reunited with the trapped people. none of the four trapped people were injured, and one adult woman needed the help of rescuers to go down the mountain due to exhaustion.

at 20:03 on the same day, the zhaitang fire rescue station received the second mountain rescue dispatch. three people were trapped 3 kilometers east of the reservoir in hongshuikou village, qingshui town, mentougou district. the three trapped people went up the mountain from jiangshuihe village at noon and planned to go down the mountain from hongshuikou village. however, on the way down the mountain, it was difficult to distinguish the direction due to the late sky and heavy fog in the mountains, which led to them being trapped.
at 22:06, six firefighters and six members of the blue sky rescue team went up the mountain with rescue equipment, cold-proof supplies, satellite phones, medical supplies and emergency food. on the way up the mountain, due to low visibility, dense thorns on some roads and steep slopes, the search for rescuers was extremely challenging.
at 2:14 the next day, after climbing for nearly 4 hours, the rescuers finally found the three trapped people. after questioning, the three trapped people were in good health and had no injuries. at 3:37, the rescuers successfully escorted the three trapped people down the mountain.
mentougou fire department reminds citizens that they should climb mountains within their capabilities and that climbing wild mountains is not recommended. climbing the mountain is recommended in time before dark.
