gao huan said that in addition to improving the performance of battery products, catl has also made multiple upgrades in terms of safety. it is reported that the battery of catl tianxing (b)-bus version has reached the ip69 level in terms of protection performance and can withstand the test of immersion in water for up to 72 hours. in extreme environments such as heavy rain and urban waterlogging, it can eliminate the hidden dangers of water ingress to the battery to the greatest extent, providing safety protection for drivers and passengers.

according to the shanghai securities news, catl r&d personnel said that the battery performance improvement is due to catl's multi-level and multi-dimensional innovative technology design. catl tianxing (b)-bus version battery improves the stacking density at a macro level, maximizes the use of space, and improves the lithium ion activation rate and energy conduction efficiency at a micro level, solving the dual problems of long life and long endurance of bus power batteries.

at the same time, catl's high-energy-density, low-lithium-consumption graphite, exclusive additive molecule design of high-stable interface electrolyte, and precise film-forming technology complement each other, effectively improving the life of the battery cells; the u-shaped sealing solution, zero-draft angle top cover design, and innovative application of integrated thermal management box have achieved super structural strength while increasing the volume energy density by 22% compared to the previous generation, greatly improving the energy compression effect.

in addition to tianxing batteries, catl has built a product matrix of automotive power batteries including kirin batteries and shenxing batteries.

both kirin batteries and shenxing batteries are aimed at the new energy passenger vehicle market. the two battery brands will be released in 2022 and 2023 respectively. during the world power battery conference held this month, gao huan disclosed the latest product series of the above battery brands.

among them, kirin batteries include four versions: super charging, long endurance, all-round and super power, focusing on the high-end passenger car market; shenxing batteries also have three versions including shenxing plus, long life and all-round version, focusing on cost-effective models.

at its performance briefing in july this year, catl stated that shenxing batteries and kirin batteries began to be mass-produced this year, and will account for 30% to 40% of the company's power battery shipments this year. in the future, the shipment proportion of the two batteries is expected to continue to increase.
