my mom told me to listen to the teacher, but the kids kept the teacher too busy

my name is jiajia, i am 8 years old. since i was little, there were no children around me to play with. i could only play quietly by myself, or my mother would send me to various rehabilitation institutions. when my mother told me that i could go to school, i was so excited that i didn't want to put down my schoolbag yesterday.

at the welcome ceremony, the teacher recognized me at first sight. my mother said that the teacher was very attentive to us and remembered each of our names. we should listen carefully to the teacher. however, when we sat in the classroom, the teachers were busy and could not stop for a moment. if they did not have more than ten years of experience in special education, they might have sent us home.

some children, like me, sat quietly in their seats. no matter what the teacher in front of us said, we didn’t move unless she came over, picked us up, and put us in line behind other children. some children suddenly started crying. the teacher came to her and touched her head, but she didn’t stop crying. instead, she cried louder and louder until the teacher kept comforting her.

lele (pseudonym) from the hearing rehabilitation department

you can learn a lot of knowledge and develop independent abilities by studying here.

my name is lele, and i live in wanning. at 6 o'clock this morning, my mother and i were excited to leave our home in wanning and take the train to haikou.

when i was 6 years old, i gradually lost my hearing and could not go to school like other children. my mother taught me how to read pinyin, recognize words and draw at home.

now i am a big kid. my mother decided to send me to school, hoping that i can learn more knowledge here. in the first class at school, i met the new teacher and got a small gift. the teacher took us to visit the campus, teaching building, big playground, canteen, dormitory, dance class, painting class, vocal class and other ordinary schools have, our school also has.

after enjoying the delicious cafeteria meals with my mother, i waved goodbye to her. my mother cried, but i didn’t cry because i had grown up and i had to learn to be independent in the future.

niuniu (pseudonym) from qiming department

here i touch the shape of braille little by little

my name is niuniu, and i am 10 years old this year. as a primary school student, i got up at 5 o'clock this morning and urged my parents to take me to school quickly. i can't wait to know what fun things there are in the new school.

in the classroom, i met a pair of twin classmates who were blind like me. under the guidance of the teacher, we played with building blocks, touched the braille shapes little by little, and then went downstairs to do the morning exercises hand in hand. it was a very wonderful day here.

when i was 3 years old, i lost my sight due to a serious illness. but in the special education school, there were teachers who cared for us and grew up with my blind friends like me.

here, teachers will teach us how to orient ourselves, walk on blind paths, learn braille, and listen to music. i no longer have to worry about conflicts with other children over toys.

in short, i will probably learn a lot of new knowledge and make many new friends here in the future, and i am looking forward to my new life here.
