on the evening of august 23, the chongqing yubei cultural theater was brightly lit, and a special concert with the theme of "chinese art songs - songs of bai shi taoist" was staged here.

tonight is a unique concert, huang lu's "bai shi taoist songs special concert".

after the song dynasty moved south, it settled down for a while and reached a peace agreement with jin, winning decades of peace. there was no war in the south of the yangtze river, and the people rested and recuperated. the frightened people of the southern song dynasty resumed their normal lives. it was during this period that a great poet, jiang kui, emerged in the southern song dynasty.

jiang kui, with the courtesy name yaozhang and the pseudonym baishi daoren, was born in 1155. jiang kui was poor and lonely when he was young. he failed in many examinations and never became a scholar. after he became an adult, he wandered around the world, lived on the money of the people, and lived on selling calligraphy and the help of friends. after he turned 30, his luck turned and he was valued by xiao dezao. he also met yang wanli, fan chengda and other famous poets in the field of poetry. but he was a commoner poet all his life. the themes of his poems included feelings of the times, expressing feelings, chanting things, recording travels, and paying gifts. he was proficient in rhythm, and he wrote poems according to the music, all of which were harmonious; he created tunes according to the poems and formed his own style. he was praised as "the best in judging the sound is baishi." his rhythm was harmonious and his emotions were superior. he created a new aesthetic paradigm for the traditional graceful style of poetry, and formed a trend of two peaks standing side by side in the field of poetry in the southern song dynasty with the bold poet xin qiji, each leading the way.

the songs left by jiang kui are also called "bai shi dao ren songs". they are the only surviving ci music from the song dynasty. jiang kui's ci poems are annotated with symbols, which are a kind of ancient popular notation for recording pitch. people today follow the popular notation to add rhythms and determine the pitch according to the tune signature of yanyue, forming a variety of five-line notation versions. all the songs sung in tonight's concert are selected from the version compiled by the late musicologist mr. yang yinliu.

in the tour of nearly 100 solo concerts, huang lu performed jiang kui's songs for the first time. this is also the first time that jiang kui's songs have been performed as a special concert in a chinese art song concert so far.

with her outstanding singing skills and profound artistic accomplishment, young soprano huang lu brought a musical feast across time and space to the audience. this concert selected twelve art songs adapted from classic lyrics by song dynasty poet jiang kui (also known as baishi daoren), each of which is full of classical charm and profound cultural connotation. the piano accompaniment of this concert was mr. guo ziqian.

the concert slowly began with the song "apricot blossoms in the sky, green silk brushing the mandarin ducks". huang lu's voice was clear and penetrating. with delicate emotional processing, she perfectly combined the spring scenery described in the lyrics with a touch of sadness, as if bringing the audience into the jiangnan water town with green willows and mandarin ducks playing in the water.

then, the songs "jiao zhao" and "cui lou yin" were performed one by one. huang lu's singing was sometimes passionate and high-pitched, and sometimes low and gentle, expressing the emotions of each song vividly. she not only showed the gorgeous timbre of the soprano, but also incorporated a deep understanding of the artistic conception of poetry into her singing, making every line of the lyrics full of vitality.

in "autumn night song: empty ancient curtains", huang lu's slightly melancholy voice perfectly interprets the loneliness of the autumn night and the infinite emotion of the past in the lyrics, which makes people can't help but be moved. and "yangzhou slow: famous capital of huaizuo" shows the prosperity and vicissitudes of the ancient city of yangzhou with its grand historical background and delicate emotional description. huang lu's singing pushed this emotion to a climax.

huang lu also perfectly presents the emotions and artistic conception of the lyrics with her unique artistic treatment in the songs such as "cherishing the red dress·the mat and pillow inviting coolness" and "anxiang·the moonlight of the old times". her singing is not only a tribute to classical poetry, but also a precise grasp of the aesthetic needs of modern audiences.

at the end of the concert, huang lu sang songs such as "drunken chanting of shang xiaopin" and "sad prisoner: autumn wind rises in green willow alleys". these songs, with their unique musical style and profound emotional connotations, brought the entire concert to a perfect end. huang lu's singing allowed the audience to enjoy the music while also deeply feeling the charm of chinese classical culture.

finally, when huang lu ended the concert with the song "lixi meiling", thunderous applause broke out. the audience said that huang lu's singing made them feel the unique charm of chinese classical art songs and gave them a deeper understanding of chinese traditional culture.

the successful holding of the "bai shi dao ren song concert" not only demonstrated huang lu's outstanding talent as a young soprano singer, but also contributed to the inheritance and development of chinese classical art songs. i believe that in the future, teacher huang lu will continue to bring more wonderful music works to the audience with her beautiful singing voice and profound artistic accomplishment.
