Ever since I bought the Lantu Dreamer and continued to share some experience videos and pictures on the Internet, many people who are interested in this car have come to me. The new Lantu Dreamer PHEV and EV models offer two wheel styles. The PHEV version's wheel is called "Cloud Wings" and the EV's is called "Aurora Stars". I think both are pretty good. 02. How comfortable is the cabin space?

(1) Front-row experience

For many MPVs, the front row is the driver and secretary's position, which may not be that important, but the new Lantu Dreamer has not ignored this, with 12-way electric adjustment, heating and ventilation, and ten-point massage.

The manufacturer said that the driver's seat was specially optimized for the Chinese body shape, and the actual experience was really impeccable. I often drive my Lantu Dreamer for long distances, and I can understand the importance of the driver's seat. In addition, I think the headrest audio system is great.

The second row seats of the new Lantu Dreamer have also been fully upgraded and equipped with a one-touch reclining function. You can use the reclining button on the armrest screen to recline in a nearly reclining position. The leg rest has good support, and the headrest and backrest also provide good support for the body. The second row seats on the passenger side also have a zero-gravity seat function.

There is also a new term here - enveloping heating.

The second row of the all-new Lantu Dreamer has heated seat cushions and backrests, as well as two armrests and leg rests. The second row's adjustment function supports 12-way electric adjustment, seat ventilation and heating, and 10-point massage function.

The second row is also equipped with two small table tops with grooves and raised edges, which are great details.

The second row of seats also includes 50W wireless fast charging on both sides. There is also a wraparound ceiling light without a main light design on the roof, which looks particularly advanced.

(4) Three-row experience

The third row of the new Dreamer is indeed worth mentioning this time, because the third row of many MPVs is just a forgotten corner and not too many resources are invested in it.

But the new Lantu Dreamer has the third row seats with electric fore and aft adjustment and electric backrest adjustment. Moreover, its 3 seats (note, not 2 seats) all have seat cushion + backrest heating, and independent headrests are also available!

After adjusting the second row of seats to a very comfortable position for me, the riding experience of the third row has its advantage among its peers. You can sit more comfortably on long distances without the useless feeling that other models have.

One point is important to emphasize here: the Dreamer passed the rear-end collision test at a speed of 110km/h, which means that the safety of the third-row passengers has been further improved!

(5) Luggage space

For most 7-seater MPV models, the trunk space is relatively average when fully occupied and can only be used for emergency situations.

The trunk space of the new Lantu Dreamer reaches 502L, and can hold 8 20-inch suitcases, which is enough for 7 people to travel with one suitcase per person!

After the third row is folded down, the maximum capacity can be expanded to 2700L, which is much larger than Toyota Sienna's 2112L. With this storage space, you don't have to weigh the pros and cons of luggage, just load it directly into the car, and moving is not a problem!

(6) Several details that are easy to overlook

Finally, I would like to share with you 5 cockpit details:

First, the step height of the second row floor is 360mm, and there is only one step. This step height is lower than that of traditional MPVs such as Alpha and GL8, and is one of the lowest among new energy luxury MPVs.

Second, the width of the rear door opening is 742mm. What does that mean?

People who have done renovation know that the width of a house door is about 80cm, or about 800mm!

The third is the children's exclusive handle design, which is more convenient for short children to get on the car, and it is also a careful experience of details. However, the position is not very obvious, so I personally recommend setting a character in this area so that consumers can see it clearly.

Fourth, its interior height is 1330mm, which is larger than several core rivals in the same class. If you go to see the actual car, you can pay attention to it!

Fifth, there are 10 charging designs, including 4 50W wireless charging ports, one for each person in the first two rows; there are also 3 60W and 2 27W type-c fast charging ports, and a USB port, ensuring that everyone in the car can enjoy fast charging services. The large number and high power can effectively solve the pain points.

Sixth, the cockpit is certified with OEKO-TEX mother-and-baby grade skin-friendly fabrics, and the interior is made of environmentally friendly materials that babies can scratch and bite at will. I parked my Dreamer in a parking garage for more than a month and it was covered with dust, but the moment I opened the door, I still couldn't smell any odor!

Health is definitely a good card for Lantu, and it needs to be played well!

The smart cockpit of the new Lantu Dreamer that we experienced this time is not Huawei's Hongmeng cockpit but Lantu's self-developed VCOS smart cockpit system, equipped with an 8295P chip. The hardware level is much stronger than the old model I bought, and the overall fluency of use has also been improved. It seems that the wait-and-see party has won again this time!

(1) Screen design

In terms of screen configuration, the new Lantu Dreamer has caught up with the new forces, with a 10.25-inch instrument, 2.5K 15.4-inch central control screen and co-pilot screen, 29-inch AR-HUD, and 17.3-inch 3k rear entertainment screen. I even think it’s a bit of a waste. As long as the head-up display and instrument screen are well designed, just one of them is enough for me. What about you?

Our guy said before that the Dreamer’s dashboard and large-screen design lowered the level of the cockpit, especially the black border of the glass was too wide. This time, its black border is only 5.5mm and the thickness is less than 10mm. The sense of technology and luxury has been restored!

The central control screen, the passenger entertainment screen, and the rear entertainment screen can be linked. The three screens can choose to play completely different content. Of course, you can also choose to watch the same movie as a family.

(2) 3D vehicle control interface

I have seen similar designs on several new cars that have been released recently, with a 3D rendering of the car on the main interface.

Users can directly operate the functions on the car model, which is very intuitive. Moreover, if the status of the vehicle changes, such as the glass is lowered, a door is opened, the double flash is turned on, etc., it can be displayed in real time on this 3D model. Drag the car model at any angle with your fingers, and it is very smooth after playing for a while.

(3) Navigation experience

The main interface of the new Dreamer Navigation has undergone major changes. It is no longer a traditional 2D interface, but a full-scene 3D rendering effect.

Similarly, you can zoom in or out the navigation map and drag the navigation interface at will without any lag. However, there is no dynamic test drive this time. Judging from the display effect of the car interface alone, the effect is very immersive, which should be much better than the experience of mobile phone navigation.

(4) Voice interaction

Because of the significant increase in computing power, the new Lantu Dreamer has a better intelligent voice experience. There is no need to wake up, and you can also issue function commands continuously without any connection. The smart cockpit also adds an AI large language model, which is also the trend of the industry. The interaction is more natural and humanized, and many fun functions have been added, such as travel planning, tour guides, encyclopedias, etc. One regret is that the car only supports intelligent dialogue in 4 sound zones. It would be better if all 3 rows and 6 seats were supported.

(5) Smart refrigerator

The new Lantu Dreamer uses a refrigerator with a capacity of 13L, and it is a genuine compressor refrigerator with an operating temperature ranging from minus 6 degrees to plus 50 degrees. This is the largest refrigerator in its class that I can remember. Moreover, refrigerator doors are provided for the front and middle rows.

The capacity is indeed large enough, so in addition to drinks, you can also put some facial masks and even dishes, which expands the usage scenarios. With the current temperature of 37 degrees or 38 degrees, it is really enjoyable to have a refrigerator.

Maybe in the past two years, new forces had more advantages in smart cockpits, but now, traditional big manufacturers have also come to their senses.

This time, the new Lantu Dreamer is fully equipped with a refrigerator, a color TV, and a large sofa, and it is fully functional and has great performance. The actual experience is quite good. From now on, you can enjoy first-class intelligence when driving a Dreamer!

5. Intelligent Driving

Huawei Qiankun ADS 3.0 has been released on the Enjoy S9, and the actual effect is really amazing. It can realize automatic driving from the community parking space to the company parking space, with zero takeover throughout the process, such as automatic gate opening, automatic parking space search, automatic lane change, automatic entry into the roundabout, etc. This is true end-to-end autonomous driving. 06. Security

Safety is something I attach great importance to, and it is also one of the main reasons why I chose Lantu Dreamer.

Because the users of luxury MPVs are either close friends and relatives, or very important partners, there cannot be any mistakes.

The new Lantu Dreamer is made of the same solid materials as before, with high-strength steel + aluminum alloy accounting for 79% and hot-formed steel accounting for 23.6%. The anti-collision beams in many places of the vehicle have been strengthened, so it is still reliable in terms of safety.

I said at the beginning that I felt complicated, but actually I felt that I bought it too early!

After watching the new Lantu Dreamer, I feel that, apart from the few points I mentioned that need to be discussed, it is already very comprehensive. Its design, space, comfort, luxury, intelligence and safety have all reached the leading level.
